I recently took this cruise twice over a 2-day period in San Antonio in May 2017. The tour lasts approx. 35 minutes and is an entertaining and relaxing way to see the Riverwalk surroundings. It is reasonably priced ($7), with discount offered for military service. It is in a central location on the Riverwalk to many good restaurants and a... More

Nice little boat ride around the river, the tour guide was funny and entertaining. Not a very long trip but for the $$'s it cost it was worth it to get the overview of the river.

Unfortunately, the history of the river and the feel of your tour has a a lot to do with the driver/tour guide. We heard some as they went by, but ours was devoid of personality and instead of spending time on history made bad jokes and puns.

When in San Antonio this little cruise is a must. It's very affordable and you can normally walk right up to get a ticket without too much of a wait. I really loved cruising at night because the lights are lovely. You also learn quite a bit about the city.

If you do this first then you can see how all things are attached and where you want to go. Watch for off peek times . . . sometimes there can be lengthy waits, other times no waiting! The boat "captains"/drivers full of knowledge and willing to share!

In my opinion, the Rio San Antonio Cruises is an excellent tour if you are new to San Antonio. My guide was really educational and overall, it was a good time.

Great way to see the Riverwalk. Would recommend doing it around dusk. Guide was very knowledgeable about different landmarks along the way.

Enjoy an evening along San Antonio 's Riverwalk by relaxing, learning, and laughing with the history and tales of the region as told by your cruise docent.

This is the best way to get an overview of the Riverwalk, so make it your first stop. Our captain was Daniel and he was so much fun! We learned some interesting historical facts and did a little "people watching" along the way. Highly recommend.

I have been twice on the riverboat tours. Tickets run really high for what you can essentially walk. Now, at Christmas the riverwalk lights up thousands of lights so you get a tour, and its pretty romantic of an evening. (maybe a night cap after dinner) I did have a great, knowledgeable tour guide. You have to stand in line... More
