The Holocaust Memorial Museum of San Antonio is located on NW Military Hwy. The memorial museum itself is very hard to find as there are no signs that say museum, so go in the main west entrance. The museum is located inside the Jewish Community...More

There is no wow factor at the Holocaust Memorial Museum, and that is as it should be. Viewing the images and artifacts presented, requires thoughtful consideration. Hitler's calls to "make Germany great again" have a familiar ring in today's political climate.

We needed to kill some time before heading to the airport, and although we were not immediately excited about finding it open on a Sunday afternoon, we are glad we went. The history of Holocaust survivors in Texas is genuinely fascinating.

Even though this museum is small, it is stuffed with insightful information that is important in knowing the true history behind the Holocaust. While taking a tour here, I was allowed to speak with multiple survivors as well as indulge in an extensive discussion with...More

To have survived the second World War, you can reflect over what could have been and what happened, the horror of it all, and how lucky you were.

it is too far to walk..quite a distance. Not sure on public transit as we had a rental car. It was on a main street, so I would suspect there is public transportation.
