We perform checks on reviews.
Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Hello.

This is a courthouse of classic design.
In place of adding to the building, they built others besides that.
The phone's are crap, low bidder.
Almost everything is low budget.
Cheaper and cheapest.
Or in some way defective.
Exploding light bulbs?
Got that.
New energy saving lamps.
Just one minor setback.
But it looks nice, almost antique.

The San Antonio courthouse is a typical older courthouse, it is constructed from red stone and has some interesting architectural features. However, there is a lot of these type of buildings throughout Texas, especially in smaller towns. the city has been building different types of more modern buildings all around the courthouse. The parking, however, is bad around the courthouse and very expensive if you do not park in the City lot, however, it is or seems to be filled all the time. I would drive past it and not brother to go in the courthose, I do not think it is worth it.

My work is courthouse research throughout the State of Texas, so I have seen many. The Bexar County Courthouse and Justice Center are connected by a basement tunnel. Many of the offices you would think should be located within close proximity to one another are not and it is pretty challenging to navigate your way around. There aren't many directionals for the newcomer. Be prepared to ask for directions.

Believe I was told this is the oldest courthouse being utilized in Texas. It's very well maintained and very clean.

Visiting the Bexar County Courthouse was more interesting than I expected. There is a separate entrance to the museum on the side of the building. The museum is set up for school age children. We didn’t do all of the interactive things that they had, but still learned a lot. It is worth your time. We spent about 45 minutes there.

Easy walk from the River Walk area and right next to the Cathedral. It was closed when we were there (weekend) but seeing the steps and the statues was a nice addition to the other area historic sites.

The Bexar County Courthouse is a classical turn of the century municipal government building. The high ceilings, marble floors and plaster walls make the ambience cool and enjoyable in San Antonio's hot summers. If you have a specific appointment time the facility is adequate. However, if you are there for jury duty you may find yourself standing for hours in the hallways with no place to sit. Bexar County Commssioners need to do a better job of providing benches in the hallways.

We had to add the Bexar County Courthouse to our list of historic Texas courthouses we’ve visited, but unlike many of the 245 Texas counties, the Bexar County Courthouse is hard to get to without making a definite time commitment. It’s pretty busy on the weekdays since it’s still in use and in the center of town. And it could use a good deep clean.
