We stayed at Homewood Suites right on the Riverwalk with a great view. Really neat place to walk around and shop and just a few blocks from the Alamo and Tower of Americas.

We spent a day walking, having lunch and taking a boat tour of the entire Riverwalk. The variety of restaurants for lunch or dinner were almost overwhelming. It was a very relaxing day with friends we have not seen for some time.

San Antonio is one of the only cities with a beautiful river flowing through its downtown. There are so many restaurants and nightclubs along the river bank. It is very unique for our city.

Great place to eat, drink, people watch and walk to other points of interest. Elevators in several places if you don't or can't take the stairs.

A great place to walk around the canals - it's a cool oasis in the heat of Texas. Some lovely shops, bars and restaurants too!

The River walk is a unique place to wander around with a fantastic selection of restaurants. Being below street level makes it so different.

This is a major attraction so get ready for the good and the bad. Lots to see and do, eat and drink and shop, BUT it's a tourist area, crowded on weekends and even unpleasant. DONT EAT on the river. Go inside or upstairs.

We walked the entire Riverwalk- so beautiful and historic. The dams and locks were interesting. There are a few panhandlers but not bad.

There are many entry points. The entrance near the Aloma and shopping mall parking could be ideal. Normally on holidays you will find it difficult to get parking space. As long as you can walk to the water taxi start point... More
