Lots of bars & restaurants to choose from as you are walking the River Walk, along with water taxis too.

It seemed clean for the most part and there are people working on the river and cleaning it daily. The river is the hub of life here it is lovely.

I used to enjoy visiting the Riverwalk but not this time. Too many new places have opened and it is extremely congested. Construction going on detoured us and as we were unable to use the same area to exit. We ended up in another area (totally threw us off) and were lost.

We spent each morning walking many miles along the Riverwalk. It was so clean and very well maintained. I would recommend trying to get accommodations down off the main area so it feels less chaotic.

Any time someone comes to town, the Alamo is a necessary stop. To understand Texas and who we are the Alamo is the heat of Texas Culture. The Imax movie before the Alamo for helps if you are unfamiliar with TX history. The Alamo is well preserved even after over a century of different uses. It is a memorial to all... More

Not to be missed, this is truly the highlight of San Antonio. Very romantic place for dinner. Go early morning for a run or just find a cafe for coffee. Very crowded in the evenings and weekends.

the san antonio river starts in, and passes through san antonio and on to southeast texas where it joins the guadalupe river before running in to the gulf of mexico. it's just another river. you can't really do much on it except fish in some deeper spots from the bank or a shallow hulled boat.

Take a walk or boat ride around to see everything the River Walk has to offer. It is lovely at night when it is all lite up.

The developers of Riverwalk took a pretty average river and turned it into a real tourist draw for downtown San Antonio. The river is clean and green, with a series of gates that keep it from flooding the downtown area.
