The Riverwalk along the river is quite nice but the river itself isn't anything to write home about. It's pretty dirty and when the midday heat hits, it has an undesirable smell. The green color is dismal looking and not very inviting. All I can...More

Wonderful locations to visit. From downtown to the less travelled/busy upscale...from commercial to property side...we visited multiple locations, walked for miles multiple days. Beautiful. The architecture, history, waterfalls and statues, little bridges and the people watching...a daily activity and something we would recommend strongly for...More

If you enjoy nature, you will enjoy the San Antonio River. Take a boat ride, and get ready to see the wildlife, plants and trees. The ducks are so gorgeous and they will walk right up to you. It's a wonderful sight to behold.

I thought it was just tied to the river walk, but found out it dumps out into the Gulf of Mexico. Good cruises that educate you on the history of the river and San Antonio.

I ended up walking along the river after visiting the Pearl. Since it was Memorial Day I was practically the only one other than some water turtles. There is a bridge with cool fish sculptures hanging underneath that the sign says lights up at night.

The Drury is a great place to stay. It's location is perfect for walking to anything you want to see. It's a reasonable walk to the Alamo or the mall.
