McNay art museum is a decent museum with small but nice collections, with a bit of an emphasis on modern art. If you go on Thursdays from 4-9, it's free!

The MacNay Art Museum is OK , but nothing special. If you are in San Antonio, see it, but do not go out of your way to get here.

I was a bit disappointed in the Impressionist collection. What they have is quite nice, but it is not very full. Friendly staff, wonderful layout, and good overall experience.

The collection was donated by the owner of the home and has a selection of Impressionism and Post-Impressionism works by major artists as well as much, much more. The VIA 11A bus will take you there.

This is a great museum in general but they have great visiting shows like Andy Warhol. They have an extensive collection of their own. Also, it's free on Tuesday evenings I believe and a discount on any special show going on.

I believe this gem gets overlooked with all the fun of the riverwalk, malls, carriage rides, and other attractions nearby. This was definitely worth the stop and was well under traveled
