Nice little Mexican shops for pottery. We ate lunch at the restaurant and then walked around. We had walked here from the river walk. Passed through some questionable areas but we were safe. They seem to be working on renovating the area.

The Mexican Market in San Antonio has a lot of repetitive items, but the trip is a unique experience and and worth the time. We enjoyed walking around and I love all the bright colors in the art. The vendors were friendly.

You can spend lots of time wandering around looking at all the Mexican souvenirs that are on sale here. You can also get something to eat and there is entertainment at different places. Fun to go and spend an hour or so.

While a lot of the merchandise is repetitive we found the coolest shop that sells all country requirements called the Cowboy Station. They have everything. Even stirrups of which my partner purchased. This place was a step back in time and is worth a visit even if it's just for a look. Had a good chat to the owner who... More

There's some good artisanal crafts in the market, but you have to go burrowing into the back of many shops to find them. The majority of stuff for sale is cheap souvenirs, and almost every shop is piled high with the stuff. How much you enjoy the market then becomes a measure of your patience in searching out the good... More

If you have an hour to spare you might want to consider taking a walk through this market. There are some interesting items that you can pick up for gifts for family and friends or something for yourself. After shopping you could get something to eat at one of the restaurants located in and around the marketplace. (A lot of... More

I really enjoy spending a few hours here every time I visit San Antonio. There are several restaurants as well as smaller food vendors at a cheaper price point. My small children enjoy the trinkets and various toys available. I personally like the arts and crafts. You can also buy vanilla here for an extremely cheap price (make sure it... More

Loved everything about this place- the culture, the authentic Mexican food at the restaurants, the shops! It's a beautiful place, tons of vendors and shops. It is the perfect place to find that perfect gift as souvenirs!

All the stores in the market have the same junk. There is some cool glassware but hard to take back on a plane. It is loud with restaurants and music. Good people watching.

Fun place to spend a couple hours. Most places have the same items, but unique and authentic nonetheless.
