The parking was easy, the ride to Boston was very quick, under 45 minutes. I really like the room and speed of the boat.

It's a really nice trip to take from Boston to Salem, there's seats with tables and they're comfy. You can also go outside and take pictures with the Salem background or with the Boston Skyline

This really makes the day in Boston! I try to do this anytime company visits. It's such a fun way to get to the heart of the city with no hassles with traffic or parking. Great info given on the boat too!

We did the 7am to 5:30 commuter trip this is a lower fare trip because it is mostly used by Salem locals that work in Boston... Wonderful trip....got to sit with and chat with a Salem local on her way to work and she gave...More

Used the ferry to travel into Boston, ideal, no parking charges, no traffic problems and it delivers you right on the Boston water front, ideal.

Great way to get to Salem, hop on at Boston, the ferry takes and hour or so, during which a running commentary tells you abou the island and the places you are passing

This trip was one of many on the ferry I have taken and it never disappoints. For $23 a senior can forget tolls, parking fees, parking tickets and just bask in the view of the beautiful North Shore of Boston and its sparkling harbor. The...More

We loved our trip to historical Salem via the Ferry. Trip was entertaining and beautiful. The crew even offered my mom some Ginger to ease her stomach. Highly recommend.

Sure -- you can take the boring train or bus (or, heavens, even drive) to Salem from Boston. But, isn't a nice water trip enticing. The catamaran leaves from the Long Wharf in Boston and drops you at the Salem Ferry terminal, about a 15...More

The best way to go between Salem and Boston with a 50 minute trip. Free Parking. Refreshing, especially on a hot day. Pricey BUT the secret of saving is to take the Salem to Boston at 7 am in the morning and return 5:30 PM-...More

Yes, but there would be no realistic opportunity to store your luggage on the ship while you're exploring the area. The ferry has a pretty tight schedule doing round-trips between Salem and Boston all day.

I don't think that's necessary. The ferry seems to run on a very tight schedule and isn't even there until about 10 minutes before departure. Then they have to disembark. I doubt they would give your seats away and also... More

Good Evening, When we took the ferry the seats were not assigned. Perhaps the reason for the early arrival is to help ensure you get the time you want?? The area around the gate is filled with many interesting and fun... More
