A great example of Federal Architectural style. Has some cool old original furniture and items used by Nathaniel Hawthorne. Glad we went.

Start with the Visitors Center to get acclimated - also houses a large book/gift shop. Stop by the Custom House and walk down Derby Wharf for fun interactive sites for kids. The vessel Friendship was not docked there - it is undergoing repairs in Gloucester.
