If you are looking for an authentic Rock shop, this is the place. The drive alone, through Gates Pass, is spectacular. Arriving at the shop, you know you struck gold in the terms of authentic rock shop. They brothers that own the shop are very informative. At one time, living in nyc, working for the museum of natural history. Fossils,... More

I am a science teacher in Tucson and was in need of several rock samples for my earth science class. Tucson Mineral and Gem World was super helpful and had everything I needed and then some! The owner was very friendly and has samples of every rock and mineral you can dream of--will definitely go there again for my unit... More

Head NW on Kinnney rd. from Ajo Way, on the way to Tucson Mountain Park, Old Tucson and Desert Museum and you'll find this unique gem. Not some fancy rock shop more reminiscent of an old miners shack. This store is owned and operated by two brothers, that I would say, are two of the kindest human beings I've ever... More

We stopped as it was on our way to another destination. Took some pics with the dinosaur out front and poked around inside for a bit. The fossils were neat to see. Place was packed full of stuff, we just aren't gem people so didn't know exactly what we were looking at. Still, interesting assortment!

On my first trip to the Tucson Gem, mineral and fossil show. We experienced the world of gems and meeting new people .. My friend and I enjoyed ourselves, we instantly felt like visiting again. Didn't feel pressured to purchase anything.

When I saw the \positive reviews of this shop, I thought it would be a fun stop during our free day in Tucson. As you read the other reviews, if you're like me, you think, "Really? This many 5-star reviews for a dusty old shop in the desert?" And once you walk in, you spend a couple minutes asking yourself... More

A great little store with lots to dig into. Wasn't looking for anything specific but couldn't resist once we were there. Lots to see so don't be in a hurry. Friendly and accommodating staff with very reasonable prices compared to other similar stores in larger cities.

Treasures to be found! This is an interesting shop in Tucson. Yes, it's a dusty older place, but it is chalk full of interesting stones and artifacts. If you want a museum type display with prices that are going to be 3 X's as much - go to Scottsdale. I found a beautiful geode that is displayed in my home... More
