Busy park

Enjoyed walking in this park. There was activity everywhere but we still managed to find some migratory birds and ducks that we had hoped to see.

In season smallish rose garden is lovely, and the park has ramadas for picnics, or just spread your blanket on the grass. Kids will have fun at the playground, or watching the geese on the lake. Ballpark is right there, as is the little wooden train, which is perfect for small children. Reid Park Zoo, swimming pool, tennis, golf, and... More

We visited this park almost every day of our stay. It is a great place to kill time, wear out children and pets, enjoy the weather and see a bit of nature.

You can go to the Zoo or you can sit/walk by the lakes. There are many Ramada's and playgrounds for the kids. Great for parties or a large get together. If you have a dog there is a dog park with separate areas for large and small dogs. Many people walk on the walking path around the park. There is... More

I like to take walks in Reid Park. It's a very peaceful property. But, great for kids. They have swings and and other playground equipment. On a hot day, it's great to sit in the shade of the old trees. They also have a seasonal rose garden.

It is very intimate and a great experience for little children and adults. The giraffe feeding is a great hit for all!

I went there on two early mornings to run and enjoyed it enormously. Urban parks are a treasure and this one is first class. Lots to do there, great for walking, running and exercising your dog...and I never knew there were so many dogs in the park...but they were wagging their tails and seemed happy enough. If you're in the... More

Great park - nice walking paths, enclosed dog park, small lake with ducks, a train ride for kids, picnic benches, grills. Visited on a Sunday afternoon and it was filled with families enjoying being outdoors.

We recently visited Reid Park for a blues festival with our small grandchildren. It was lovely setting, nice grassy areas, large trees with lots of shade and cabana areas with bbq grills for groups. A playground area was near the concert area so the children could play while we enjoyed the music. There's a large pond with ducks, a fountain... More

Nice grass areas with large shade trees, ramada, and picnic tables. Adjacent golf course, swimming pool, and zoo. Plenty of close parking. There is a lake, small hill, and waterfall. Good place to chill out from the stress of urban life.
