The new paving of the road is great I am so appreciative of the many people who donated time and money to make this happen. The hill is beautiful as always. There are currently lots of deer and amazing greenery!

A friend and I decided to tackle Tumamoc Hill recently when its road reopened after repaving work. I found the 1.5-mile steep ascent, with appreciated switchbacks, to be more comfortable on the smooth surface and the views of Tucson and nearby mountains as stunning as...More

I love walking this hill. It's a great workout and great views once you get to the top! Sometimes the holes in the pavement can be a little tricky to navigate (I've had a friend who tripped and fell!), but I've heard they are going...More

The seemingly long walk to the top of the hill is absolutely worth it. Once I made it to the top with my friends I could see so much of Tucson. It’s a little windy, but so, so worth it.

This is a great little workout, recommended as a trainer for the Camino. Fairly steep incline. There is a restroom about a third of the way up

Be sure to download the Tumamoc Hill app on your phone and listen to the history on your way up this 3 mile RT hike. That and the informative signs made the hike all the more enjoyable. The trail overlooks St Mary's Hospital where I...More

The great thing about Tumamoc Hill is that it's right there in southern Tucson, a quick hike to a great view that doesn't require driving out of town. And that's its problem, too - it's TOO accessible. That means crowds, with a few individuals inconsiderate...More

Loved this little hidden gem in the middle of the city. Walk to the top for a great workout and be rewarded with a stunning view. Lots of folks out there enjoying the scenery.

Tumamoc Hill was meant to be driven I think. It's a pretty good angle all the way up and if you don't fall down from exhaustion there's a wonderful view at the top. Seriously though, this is a tough one. But rewarding for your health...More

This is my first time in ten years! And I live in Tucson!!! The weather was nice! Hiking the hill was a challenge since it is very steep. I had to rest every five minutes but I made it to the top! You can see...More

Yes. Just don't park in the doctors office parking lot you could get towed if they are open. Great hike up with terrific views and this time of year might see the deers walking around.

I get 1.55 miles one way with a 730 foot elevation for 11.2% on average. It is maybe 15% for the last 1/2 mile. Women push baby strollers to the top.
