My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed this small museum. The collection of artifacts was very impressive, the displays were simple but very nicely done, and the young lady who oversaw the museum on a Sunday was very informative and generous with her time. We enjoyed seeing the display of the riderless horse and learning who the last president this honor... More

This TripAdvisor find was great. Whitley provided a knowledgeable summary of the American horse soldiers and their mounts. This was the only tour that provided a historical discussion of the role of the horse and donkey in the military. This was a point of discussion that I didn't hear in Gettyburg, Washington DC, or many other historical tours. The display... More

A small museum on East end. Nice displays and a great tour. Sgt. Reckless is a true heroine. Our use of miles also very interesting!! A must see in my opinion. Schedule an hour and a halfinimum.

This museum is a must. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. The exhibits were awesome. My husband, being a soldier, loved this museum. The young lady was so knowledgeable and a joy to speak with. She was very open to listening to my husbands stories too. Great museum--we highly recommend this place.

The Museum of the Horse Soldier was a wonderful discovery on our most recent trip to Tucson; a small facility, but with an impressive collection of historical artifacts related to the role of horses - and mules - in the US armed forces from the Civil War through the Korean War. We were especially fortunate to be guided by the... More

I hadn't read anything about The Museum of the Horse Soldier and stumbled upon it on a trip to Tucson. Wow! For a relatively small and new museum, the Director has assembled a very impressive collection of 150 years of US Cavalry history! Great job, it's a must see for history fans!

Great tribute to the Horse Soldier with genuine uniforms and weaponry of the US Military Mounted Services since its inception. Unique artifacts you won't see anywhere else.
