This is not a big zoo compared to major cities, but there is still a lot to do. The animals seem well cared for and the enclosures are set up so that it is usually easy to see the animals. They do have most of...More

The zoo has some lovely animals that seem to be loved by all the people in Tucson. When a few of the "oldsters" died, like the black jaguar or the polar bear, there was much morning. There have been some geriatric critters there, and it's...More

This is a great zoo. Not too big. Not too small. Clean. Family friendly. A great day out. The rhino has the biggest head of any rhino I've ever seen.

My first time at the zoo after relocating to Tucson. The zoo is well planned, not too crowded, not too big with great volunteers taking the time to educate you and answer questions. There are plenty of places to sit, if you want to take...More

We took our daughter and grandson to the zoo. Everything was orderly and clean. All the animals seemed content and well cared for. I did not like that there were animal rides as I do not think that animals should be made to work for...More

We drove to Reid Park on a Tuesday, arriving before 11 am at the zoo. As most of our trips to big cities, we often visit the zoos and the ball parks and this was the prelude to our trip into Phoenix for the cactus...More

Anyone can help me with the hotel that is near by of the zoo? I need something less then 1 and half miles away. I don't drive and would walk from hotel to the zoo. Is that possible?
