A bully good historic attraction, not to be missed: the home of Theodore Roosevelt from 1902 to 1906, considered the "Summer White House," a beautiful 23-room Victorian mansion estate that also includes a 37-acre National Environmental Study Area of forest, tidal salt marsh and bay beach.

Went for a tour of house , spent the day. Boys did a good job getting their Boy Scout patches. It was hot , I suggest visiting the museum first & then tour Theodore's house. Our guide was very pleasant & knowledgeable.

We arrived before noon and were able to tour the house at 2:30 pm. If you have not been here since the renovations, it is well worth a new visit. The house tours often sell out by noon, although we lucked out. If you want...More

House tour was wonderful and docent was welcoming and knowledgeable. Tour didn't last long and groups are small, presumably as there's no AC, just fans inside and it is HOT! I recommend booking house tour online though (as we did) as several people tried to...More

I went there when they were sold out and was not able to get tickets. You may want to call them about availability of tickets, since NO SHOW people may occur.
