Erik's photography is excellent. We've got several of his pictures in our home. I received plenty of input into my buying decision. The pictures I fell in love with wouldn't have looked good where I was going to put them, so Erik steered me in a different direction. I'm incredibly pleased with the purchase I made.
They're knowledgeable and helpful and willing to go to great lengths to help in the decision making process. I sent them a photo of the place I'd selected for the pictures & they photoshopped in what it would look like. Great customer service!!

We stopped in to this beautiful gallery when were in downtown Estes Park and the images were just stunning. Erik, the photographer, is--in addition to being incredibly talented--very friendly and a great guy.
Even my eight year old son couldn't keep his eyes off of the photos on the walls (Erik even invited him to lay down on the floor to get a look at the one on the ceiling) and said these were the best pictures he had ever seen in his whole life.
Can't wait to come back soon and take one of these home for my walls!

This is more of an art gallery type store. All pictures of Rocky Mountain National Park and they are beautiful. The layout of the store is also nice. And you don't have someone constantly in your face trying to sell you something. They let you look at your leisure. Love this storefront.

It's worth a stop in to this gallery to see the stunning photos on the wall. It is a lovely setting to view the photos. It's a shame that the work is not more affordable, even in the smaller sizes.

There really isn't much to say. Erik Stensland is arguably one of the best photographers that Colorado has seen, and by far the best ever to represent Rocky Mountain National Park. His images are simply stunning and his gallery is a true joy to visit. If you love RMNP, you need to stop in and bring home a piece of your trip as seen through Erik's talented eye. I dont know how he does it image after image, but he has a way of capturing the beauty of his surrounding landscapes that tells a story and represents the best that those special scenes have to offer. There are many good photographers in Colorado (even in Estes Park), but Erik's work is a few notches above them all. Get some of his work before he gets too famous!!

Upon entering Erik's gallery, I was captivated by his splendid photography! Every image evokes an emotion that resonates with me, something that other photography has never done. Whether it be a breathtaking landscape on Rocky Mountain National Park's tundra or the tranquility of a mountain flower-filled meadow, you will be transported to the location and compelled to experience the wonder. My first purchase was Erik's award-winning hardcover book, "Wild Light - A Celebration of Rocky Mountain National Park." This is a must-have book for anyone who loves RMNP! Erik is an eloquent writer, whose passion for the beauty and magnificence of this park shine through in the accompanying text. My husband and I have visited the gallery three times in the past year, and had the pleasure of meeting Erik and chatting with him. He exudes a genuine warmth and sincere appreciation for the compliments visitors have regarding his photography. You must experience this magnificent gallery when you are in Estes Park!

Have become a fast fan of Mr. Stensland's work. Between my mother and I, we purchased 5 matted plaques, a calendar and two packages of notecards during our visit and on my return home I purchased 2 prints and 1 more matted plaque from the website. His eye and skill with a camera are breathtaking. While RMNP provides endless opportunities and it's really hard to take a truly bad photograph, the images Mr. Stensland is able to capture are in a word gorgeous. As for the gallery itself, the staff is generously helpful both in person and online. For fans of RMNP looking for a way to take home even a sliver of the beauty that is this place, Images of RMNP is a must see stop during your visit.

I love to visit this gallery periodically to see what new images are available. Some of the most beautiful scenery and photography I have ever seen. I look forward to his Facebook posts daily to remind me what a beautiful world lies just outside my door.

We drove the Trail Ridge Road from Estes Park to Grand Lake and back again, then visited Erik Stensland's gallery at 203 Park Lane in Estes Park, Images of Rocky Mountain National Park. Obviously, we missed a lot on our trip. Stensland's photographs are priceless, like oil paintings on canvas. Born and educated in Minnesota, Stensland lived in Europe for 13 years, then returned to the United States i 2004 and settled in Rocky Mountain National Park to pursue his love of nature through photography. He has photographed the beauty of RMNP, landscapes of mountains and wildflowers and lakes. He also is developing photo collections of the Desert Southwest, Pacific Northwest and the United Kingdom. He has galleries in Estes Park, Grand Lake, Trail Ridge store in RMNP and outside Abiquiu, New Mexico. In the Estes Park gallery, there are nearly 200 of Stensland's favorite photos of RMNP...sunrise, sunset, large prints for living rooms, smaller prints, Bear Lake, Long's Peak, Glacier Gorge, Upper Trail Ridge Road, Mummy Range, East Entrance, Wild Basin. He specializes in six themes--panoramic photos, horizontal photos, vertical space, colors, subjects and seasons. At the gallery, books and greeting cards also are available.

My cousin and I are driving from Denver to South Dakota. We were wondering if maybe we should spend a day (first week of September) at Rocky Mountain National Park before heading to South Dakota for 5 nights. Would it be worth it to go for such a short visit? If we do it, any suggestions of routes or must do’s? Thanks

The fall colors typically begin in the tundra during the first week of September and make their way down, hitting the aspen around Bear Lake by about the third week of September. That said, there is still plenty of beauty to be found in Rocky Mountain National Park. I recommend packing a lunch and taking your time driving through the park for the day. There are several stops - Bear Lake, Sprague Lake and the Glacier Gorge area that offer nice, easy hikes. Bring plenty of water and remember to stop by my gallery on your way out of town!

Just wondering how to dress for the weather. Will be there the week of July 20.

Hi, I'm assuming you are asking about visiting Rocky Mountain National Park. You've written to my fine art gallery in Estes Park but I'll still do my best to answer your question.
Here in the mountains the temperature can vary greatly. It can be as warm as 80 degrees in town but at the same time up on the top of the mountains it can be only 60 degrees often much cooler. I suggest that you bring clothes for a wide variety of weather conditions. Wear layers that you can put on and take off so that you can be warm or cool enough depending on where in the park you are and what the temperature is. The weather here varies a great deal and most afternoons are marked by severe thunderstorms that last a couple of hours.
I hope this helps.
