Great for younger kids

Bring your own rods or rent them for just $1. They provide the bait, the net, the bucket and any help you may need. And the staff is friendly and very helpful. Very small pond so lines could get tangled. It's catch only-no release but they clean and prep the fish so you can take it back home to cook.... More

This was a fun, easy, affordable outing for younger kids. This is not geared toward the serious fisher - some of the rods/reels were difficult to work. But the fact that everything was provided, and we didn't have to bring or buy fishing gear, or do any clean-up made up for this small shortcoming. We visited twice during the week... More

Basically you rent a fishing rod, they give you some bait, and you cast into their pond to try to catch a trout. The rods are $1 for kids and $2 for adults. If you catch a fish you then pay $1/inch. The trout range from 12"-18". There is no catch and release. If you catch a fish you can... More

We loved this place. We trout fish often. We left our fishing gear at home & spent 130.00 on fishing gear at Walmart & found this place the next day. No fishing license needed & all supplies are provided. It is busy but well worth it. We took our own lawn chairs & relaxed while fishing. Kids rod rental is... More

We had four poles there for 1.5 hours and didn't catch a thing. The only people we saw catch anything were those that brought their own flies for bait; they only supplied us with worms or shrimp and didn't offer flies. It was a frustrating outing for our group of six adults and four kids ages 5, 5, 3, and... More

Bottom line - when you go to a trout pond like this you expect to catch a few fish. That was not our experience. They know how many trout are in the pond, and how may have been caught, but they just keep letting people fish with little chance of catching anything. Not cool. They should close when the pond... The pond is well stocked with trout. Everyone caught at least 1 fish in the 2 hours we were there. The kids really enjoyed catching the fish. Some actually got away they were so lively while trying to get them in the net. The staff was helpful. Be aware you pay for the fish by the inch which can add... More

Came here with my kids, 7 and 12 year olds. Took us about 2 hours to start catching fish. My kids had a great time. I was surprised they lasted that long. There is no catch and release. You have to take the fish. I am sure there's a good reason for this, but I was bummed that we couldn't... More

It's hard with kids when you take them fishing and you don't catch anything. The patience required to fish is lost on toddlers. So, as a treat we took them to a stocked pond to guarantee a catch (paid for of course)!! This fishing pond allowed us to use our own poles and our own bait (night crawlers). They will... More

With so many options in Estes Park you can't go wrong here. My 11 year old caught her first fish here. It's a 20 inch rainbow trout so a great memory. There are so many average activities but this was just great.
