It is located at Pipestone National Monument. The circular trail is a level, paved 3/4 mile. There are two places where you can climb app. ten stone steps for another viewpoint. Most of the trail is in shade. A great variety of vegetation and wild...More

We took the circle trail at Pipestone National Monument to get to these falls. They are pristine and beautiful. The sacred feel to the place means the area is respected and we encountered no litter or graffiti. More places should be like this. The hike...More

Located at Pipestone National site, it is near the end of the circle trail loop. It was flowing nicely the day I went, as recent rains insured a good water level. If you go the counterclockwise route it is a bit tricky to get, as...More

They had a lot of rain recently and the waterfall was roaring. Quite impressive. The trail leading to the waterfall was picturesque but easily navigated.

The waterfalls was really nice. Just a short walk from the visitor center at Pipestone, it was reached by a paved path. Lots of shade trees to get under from the heat and we loved our time there.

This beautiful waterfall is about midpoint in a 3/4 mile walk at Pipestone National Monument. The stone formations are impressive - so are the twisted trees and prairie grasses. The mist coming off the falls are refreshing. It is a very tranquil and inspiring spot.

This was such a surprise on a short circular nature walk!!! Gorgeous. Worth walking to. You go from tall grass prairie to the mountains almost. Loved it.

We walked with path on our family reunion trip. The falls is beautiful! I learned from my great uncle that the falls used to be twice as high and the farmers blew it up because they thought it was flooding their fields. This location is...More
