This museum is full of history about balloons, and it has many on display. The cost is reasonable which makes it even more of a reason to go. It seems like it has some renovations going on, but that does not get in the way. Make sure to visit the gift shop on your way out.

We felt that the Anderson-Abruzzo Balloon Museum is a must see while visiting the area. If you are going to attend the Balloon Fiesta, the museum is “free” the day before the start of the Fiesta. We were lucky to capitalize on this deal. The museum is well worth seeing even with the price of admission. The museum, no doubt,... More

This was an enjoyable visit to the International Balloon Museum. We don't know much about Balloons but this is a great place to learn. The exhibits were very good and this was something different from the usual tourist attractions. Highly recommended.

Albuquerque is the balloon capital and this very colorful museum covers it all. See early depictions and samples and some of the modern ones that highlight the city. Learn all about the early days of ballooning and the amazing feats. Guided tour is by far the preference. Quite a bit more enjoyable than expected.

As always took some family members from out of town to visit the Balloon Fiesta. Had a great time as always. And if you have never visit before you should go at least once. Such a fun place to go in Oct. And amazing colors and shapes of balloons.

From the Tam to Sandia peak ski area to Santa fe ski area, the family is a legacy to ABQ and N.M. skiers, and hot air balloon enthusiast, I would recommend it as well as the annual ballon fiesta that happens every Oct.. we will miss the parents, Mary Pat and Richard very much, and the contributions either finacially or... What a beautiful venue for a wedding reception! As guests, we had access to the museum and gift shop. The catered reception was upstairs with 360 degree views of the city. There was an area for dancing, access to an outside patio, and more.

This tour was fascinating and informative! Loved the gift shop and bought wind spinners and lots of hot air balloon related gifts for others and myself. Would love to come back for the festival and also take a balloon ride! My grand daughter is going to have an hot air balloon theme birthday party. This was perfect to get some... More

Several of museums in Albuquerque offer free admission up to 1:00 pm on Sundays (and other days). The place was not overly busy when I arrived...no gate attendant...I found a self-guided tour brochure (very helpful) and started upstairs to get some overhead shots of the gondolas. Great second level deck that offers great views of the Sandia Mtns and across... More
