Named after two pioneer balloonists from New Mexico, the Anderson-Abruzzo International Balloon Museum is certainly an attraction not to be missed if you are scheduling a visit to this city. Just as our October International Hot Air Balloon Fiesta is also iconic to our city,...More

We stopped by here to see the balloon exhibits, but it is so much more---it goes through the history, military application and scientific research of balloons. There are neat side exhibits about weather and landforms. This was my second visit and I plan on coming...More

Some interesting exhibits and history of balloon flight. Lovely people in the gift shop that helped us plan to return during the balloon festival in October.

I was expecting a big building packed with balloons, but the Balloon Museum is something far better than that. It is the story of balloon flights through history. Not just hot air balloons but also airships like Graf Zeppelin and U.S. Navy airships have their...More

This is definitely a unique museum geared towards serious balloon enthusiasts. Even though we are not, we enjoyed many of the exhibits, especially the real balloons hung from the ceiling. Many of the exhibits were info. overload for us and would probably be better appreciated...More

This event brings smiles to people all over the world from toddlers to seniors. Go directly to the balloon field when it is dark to capture the full event of the Dawn Patrol and balloon inflation. Wear waterproof shoes (dew on grass) and warm socks....More

I think I went in expecting something different than what it was, but still a cool stop. Apparently they launch hot air balloons at the the location during the Albuquerque Balloon Fest, so that's cool 🤷🏽‍♀️

The museum gives a great history of ballooning from the origins in Europe to the large ballooning presence in Albuquerque. Lots of great displays from full scale models down to small buttons/pins. Can easily take a couple hours to walk though

This museum helped us enjoy the balloon festival even more than we would have otherwise. It's reasonably priced and a very enjoyable place.

This museum is all about ballooning -- the balloons in the museum are pretty to see and while some of the museum is interesting it does sometimes go into too much detail. The 4D movie is fun and we also enjoyed the exhibit on weather.
