I received my astrophysics degree from UNM and thus know the observatory well. For sitting in the middle of a larger city as it does, one gets a great view. The volunteers who help are knowledgeable and friendly and it's a great place to take the kids and teach them about the universe and the stars we see. Well worth... More

had to wait outside in a very long line to see the little blip crossing the sun (Venus, being the "little blip!"). Volunteeers inside and outside were very patient and helpful as our family waited to peek through the large scope.
