A great lpace to go and have a pinic or just go sit outside under the shade of a huge old tree and enjoy a book. The spring and fall are especially nice but all year is good too.

The BioPark has a variety of desert plants as well as glass houses for tropical ones. There is an old farm house, barn, and garden from the early 20th century where one can get an idea how life was near the Rio Grande in the...More

I've never seen so many different blooming plants in one place before. Far more than other botanical gardens. The only downside was that very few had markers to identify the plants. We spent about two and a half hours in the gardens.

Take a blanket and a picnic basket. Lots of shaded grass to layout in. Not as much of a garden as i would of thought, but more like a well kept park.

Since going through it near its opening day in the mid-90's, the ABQ Botanical Gardens as surpassed any other "young" botanical garden I've ever seen! Strolling through the well designed gardens is an absolute pleasure under the giant cottonwoods, which make the day seem 10...More

Very relaxing way to spend a morning. Greeters at the entrance said to be sure to visit the children's garden. "Right" I thought - I'm 67 and no grandchildren in sight. Well, it was delightful: dragon with mist coming from its nostrils, giant insects to...More

I am not 100 percent sure, but I think they have wheelchairs available at the entrance. I do not know if they are free or if there is a charge. But failing that, there are many shady nooks and seats around the park, where... More
