Go at Sunset and sit for 30 minutes and see why we live here

This is the essence of New Mexico. Get to know the magic of the Mountains by watching the colors change at dusk. Walk around. There are birds everyhwere. It is heaven

Sweet smells and sights. This is a favorite place for walking and sniffing and watching the seasons and light change.

The lavender is getting ready to bloom in full force. This is pricey for a meal but the food is well worth every penny. And ACE!

Los Poblanos Open Space is a great urban place to hike as there are several trail options. There are water fowl on the irrigation ditches. It's a great place for viewing Sandhill Cranes during the winter season. Locals can also pay to have a garden plot here. The October corn maze is a fun place to take the kids.

The growing season here is totally weather dependent and you have to pick your preferred amount of items, it's not a grocery store. It's clearly visible from Montano about 1/8 mile easy of the Rio Grande bridge. Get there early in the morning to make your selections during the summer months to avoid the sun/heat.

My friends and I were just staying in what we thought was a bed and breakfast on our way to Santa Fe but feel in love with this place. We asked one of the employees if she could take us on a tour of the facility the next morning. A number of the other people staying there wanted to go... More

This site is for reviews on Los Poblanos Open Space, not the Inn which is unaffiliated. There are three loop trails that wind along an acequia and through fields that grow a variety of crops during the growing season. A community garden is available for individuals who want to try their hand at farming on a very small scale. During... More

I had been wanting to explore Los Poblanos for a few years, but never seemed to find the time to do it when I was in Abq. Finally, in town for an extended period, I asked my daughter to join me and we took her dogs and went exploring -- my daughter was due to give birth at any time,... More

Since reading about the Los Poblanos lavender fields and farm shop in a recent Martha Stewart magazine article, my two friends and I thought it would be a great stop on our annual girls' trip. Actually, we had a wonderful experience visiting lavender fields in Oregon, so we thought this would be so enjoyable, too. However, when we first arrived,... More

The entire experience was a delight for the senses. The Historical Inn features unique architecture and gorgeous courtyards. I will return in the peak of summer to view the Inn in full bloom. The accommodations were superb, I stayed in the Gallinero Room and enjoyed a quiet relaxing evening on the patio. The room had a complete kitchenette, queen size... More
