Stunning, artistic, historic and any other superlative you can come up with. Great tiles and murals! Railings to the balcony are supported by roadrunners! Would love to enjoy a movie here.

Stop by the Kimo and look at the beautiful renovation they have done, take a peek at the Route 66 memorabilia and if you can catch a flick on the silver screen, do so. It is an awesome place to watch movies.

Small classic theater in downtown Albuquerque. Built in the 1920's, the decor is Pueblo Revival. Fascinating images from the native Americans who live in New Mexico, surround the stage. It's a real feast for people who enjoy art and architecture. Small venue, great music concerts...More

I love the kimono theatre. Beautiful lobby, stage, and theatre area decorated in New Mexican style. Take a few minutes to stop by... It's free with a voluntary donation box.

I loved my experience at the Kimo theatre. It was a unique experience for me to see "Two Lane Blacktop", a movie from 1971, on the big screen. The movie wasn't great, but the ambiance was fantastic and movie tickets are only $5.00. They also...More

Ever since we were wowed by this spectacular Pueblo Deco architectural gem on a brief visit to Albuquerque in April 2015, my wife and I have been looking forward to coming back to this theater and going inside and enjoying an event here. When we...More
