The museum features some excellent dinosaur skeletons, well displayed. The tyrannosaurus skeleton, for example, is accompanied by pictures pointing out the effect of injuries on the skeleton and speculating on the causes of them. We also saw fact-filled exhibits on the origins and development of...More

It's a fun easy day out. A lot of it seems dated, but that's Albuquerque for ya. I still try to get over to it every few years. Good learning experience for the younger kids. The Imax theater usually has good documentaries.

Pros: The exhibits were nicely put together and very informative. They have a lot about New Mexico's natural history, with plenty of fossils, and a room where you could see recently discovered fossils that were still being researched. There was also a very cool exhibit...More

Went here as part of a trip with the grandson and we all really enjoyed it - again lots of exhibits and educational facts to learn. One tip - go either as soon as they open or late in the day to avoid the crowds

This museum is a living history of the beginning of life on earth up to the present time. One cannot see the entire fascinating displays in one day, so plan on coming back if you enjoy learning experiences.

This museum is a thoughtful combination of dinosaurs )great for kids) and excellent traveling exhibits. The IMAX shows top rated examples of shows about the natural world.

Some hotels have shuttles to and from the airport, but none go to the Museum that I know of. There are bus stops near the museum.
