A natures beauty at it's best. You can only drive or take also about mile long hike (paved path) and see petrified woods etc.

Blue Mesa offers both a drive thru and a walking trail, and each is looped. The walking trail is probably the most vigorous one offered in the park. Shortly after commencing the walk, the trail begins a steep decline to the bottom of the canyon,...More

The first part of the loop is just okay, then you turn a corner and bam! All of a sudden you are on top of a cavern filled with petrified trees and awesome geological formations. I'm afraid of heights so it was a bit nerve...More

We viewed this feature just before sunset and the colors were amazing. It is right along the road and easy to access.

One of the best places in the park. Very nice formations and logs and a wonderful trail. We did it in winter so it was very cool.

This mesa is great especially near sunset or after a rain... So get off the truck racetrack and have a look.

I would've preferred to probably skip the agate house and do this hike instead, however we were limited on time while we were here. This was definitely one of the best views in the entire park. Really really beautiful colors, beautiful topography. Definitely one of...More

The views are nice at the Blue Mesa and the trail goes down to the base so you can get close to the formations and petrified wood remains. It's a nice walk down into a loop then back up to the top.
