We really enjoy this zoo more than others near by. It is so clean and you get to feed the giraffes by hand, so cool. The monkeys are funny and always doing something that makes us laugh. Prices of drinks are a little high

I went to Gladys Porter Zoo, and it was one of the best Zoo trips I'd ever had. The only complaint I have is the poor health conditions. Some of the animals are really skinny, and the team there could at least scrub the top...More

This visit was pleasant due to rains. It can be very humid in this Zoo otherwise. Great animals with many high quality exhibits. There are a few that are too small for the animals that are in them but some of the big ones are...More

Zoo is wonderful, it's well kept, animals are wonderful, but the heat was terrible. It felt like u were in the dessert. I suggest either the zoo come up with fans with spritzer, so families can cool down or go prepared. Other than that we...More

First of all the ticket booth is very disorganized and I thought we would never get in. Many areas are under construction. And all the animals seemed depressed

I've been to my share of zoos! This one is one of the finer zoos! We enjoyed our time there. There enough indoor exhibits to cool down! The food was reasonably priced as well. My only complaint is parking is cash only and the ATM...More

This zoo was a great place to actually see the animals. The exhibits make it easy for you to see the animals up close. The layout of the zoo makes it easy to walk around, stop for a restroom, get some shade and rest. We...More

Hello. There is no outside food permitted at the zoo. They have four concession stands throughout that provide food. There is one that sells pizza and beer. The others offer hamburgers, hot dogs, popcorn, nachos and more.
