Great birding spot but beware of the shady characters

We saw great birds here but there are many homeless people in the park and drug users don't go in there in the evening and don't go alone stay in lit areas

The park is very small. It was very dark and dense. There were homeless people sleeping in the walkways. We didn't stay long.

Terrible place to visit, walkways are bad, a lot of slip, trip and falls. Transits hang around, some asking for change, dirty stream passing thru the park, and a very Threating atmosphere.

Great little park smack in the middle of town that delivers more than it seems it should of birds. I'd recommend this as a spot for anyone who likes to bird and wants to see some things you might not see at home. Because of its location, it gets birds that like to spend time near the ocean, but also... More

Corpus Christi is home to a wide variety of bird species and a stop for many more during migration. This small park and its scrubby trees offer excellent views of many. Since it's downtown, you may encounter some urban blight - most likely litter - just be aware of your surroundings. And as a birder, you will be until you... More

we were able to see some birds, it wasn't as birdy as I was hoping for. But we did get a Chimney Swift and a Chuck Wills Widow. But I would not suggest birding this area alone. Could be a little scary. But if you have a group it was fun!

This park is a gem in the center city for birders. Every late February thru end of April Audoban members are in the park daily helping visitors from all over the world identify migrating birders. Over 200 species of birds can be spotted here every spring. The park has no amenities so bring your own lawn chairs, and water. No... More

Birdwatchers' Paradise! A beautiful island of peacefulness in the heart of Corpus Christi. Easy to get to but have to look for it or it will be missed. Always lots of veteran birders around to help the novice enjoy the beauty that lies before him.
