So quiet We had a wonderfully relaxing afternoon on the beach here. FYI there is a minimal charge ($10 I believe) to enter. Dogs are welcome on the beach but the owners were responsible. Bring all your own supplies since amenities are minimal. Loved the...More

We drove a ways into this national seashore. We didn't have much time but we saw enough to know we'd be going back someday.

The beaches here are just gorgeous. The area is wild unspoiled, and you never know what you will see. We saw dolphins, sea turtles, add more different species of birds than one can imagine. You can travel down the beach and get you areas where...More

It was wind but, beautiful. We can't wait to go again. We took the grand kids, they had fun playing in the water. We took a walk on the pier, beautiful.

We drove to the eight mile mark and parked. It was a windy day so bringing kites was a good call. After the 5 mile marker, you have to have four wheel drive and we needed it.

Looking place to relax and enjoy the beach. There was a minimal entrance fee to this beach that's quite nominal. It allows us to visit the place for 7 days. Beach is clean and nice.

You can drive onto the beach! Very wide and obviously graded flat for even 2 wheel drive cars. Unfortunately it was very windy, so we didnt stay very long.

The visitor's center here was well worth the stop. The exhibits talk about how the hurricanes shift the shore line and how/why there is so much refuse along the shore (distributed there by winds and tides). There's also an observation deck for a better view...More

phone service is sketchy it just depends on where your campsite is. If you're out on the Padre Island's it's there most of the time I had service most of the time and of course if you stay in town at a campground you'll have... More
