Discover the amazing underwater world of the Texas State Aquarium!...

Discover the amazing underwater world of the Texas State Aquarium! Thousands of animals representing over 320 different species are ready to enchant, entertain, and inspire you. Corpus Christi's most popular cultural attraction has welcomed over 12 million visitors since its grand opening in July 1990. Conveniently located on North Beach, the Texas State Aquarium is just minutes from Corpus Christi's downtown district, convention center complex, and museums. The Texas State Aquarium Association is a not-for-profit, educational institution that does not receive any city, state, or federal funding for its operations. Every visit to the Texas State Aquarium is a new and exciting discovery of animals that remind us all of our responsibility to those whose world we share. The Aquarium's Second Chances Wildlife Rehabilitation Program is federally permitted and operates under rigorous standards established by the Association of Zoos and Aquariums (AZA). Each year, thousands of protected, endangered or threatened species along the Texas coast become ill or injured. Most are brought to our facility with problems caused directly or indirectly by humans. The goal of the Texas State Aquarium's Second Chances Program is to rehabilitate, and whenever possible, return the animals to their natural environment. The Aquarium is an accredited member of the Association of Zoos and Aquariums and is a member of the World Association of Zoos and Aquariums. The Aquarium's mission is to engage people with animals, inspire appreciation for our seas, and support wildlife conservation.

We had a lot of fun here , like all tourist places it's pricey . For a family of 5 it cost us $120 to get in . Two adults 3 kids below 12. The kids had a lot of fun touching various creatures. The best part was the dolphin show, they picked my girls to volunteer answering questions ,... More

My son is studying marine biology in Corpus Christi, so we wanted to hit the aquarium on one of my visits down. Very good selection of aquatic animals, in very well laid out displays. Line was a little long to buy tickets, but took care of that easily by just going on-line while in line and buying them there and... More

We're so happy you had a great time at the Aquarium. We definitely recommend our guests buy tickets online if at all possible, which not only allows them to bypass any lines but also provides a discount. It's great to see you enjoyed Otis, our Giant pacific octopus as well - he's always fun to watch! Thank you again for... More

I have been to many aquariums, but I have to say this is the best one. I took my kids there and they had a blast. And there were some really reasonably priced food options to eat. There something fun for everyone to do there. I will for sure be going back😃😃

$22.50 each. Spent about a hour and a half. The Chicago and Omaha Aquariums are much better. They have a lot of construction going on right now. And several empty exhibits. Maybe it will be better when that is done. Wish we'd saved our money for something else.

The Texas State Aquarium can be walked through in about 30 - 40 minutes. It is definitely not worth the admission price. The shows were not up to par of normal shows either. Overall, we were disappointed. The aquarium is more for under-10 children; the downstairs has different areas where you can touch the sharks, turtles, etc. I will say,... More

I highly recommend this aquarium! It will be expanding 65,000 sq ft in May of 2017. At this point, it is fairly small but they have shows or animal encounters every 30 minutes which kept us plenty busy. I took my 6 year old son and he got to touch sharks, jellyfish, star fish, sea urchins, sting rays, and crabs.... More

The aquarium was clean and more for kids as you could touch some of the sharks, rays etc. For a family of four the cost of $100 was a bit much for what you get. The dolphin show did help ease the pain of the entry fee.
