My wife and I drove up Eight Dollar Mountain and found this botanical area. Nice elevated trail off the ground. Quiet, unique.

We only had time to walk the boardwalk here, but so glad we could at least do that. We saw hundreds of pitcher plants (the first time we had seen any in the wild) and lots of other blooming wildflowers. Helpful signs along the path...More

I love to admire plants even though I can't remember any species or genus names. This was a great little stop to stretch the legs and learn some botany on the way to Great Cats. Worth the stop!

Its just a short stroll on a beautiful trail to see a large natural garden of native carnivorous plants. Plus, many native wild flowers. Something different to see every month of the year. A must do on my list

We only did the boardwalk hike, less than a mile, but we enjoyed the diverse habitats. Besides the plants we spotted several lizards and there were raptors flying overhead. The highlight were the California pitcher plants.

Seeing about an acre of the California Pitcher plants was a thrill - they look like cobras and eat insects. There is a nice boardwalk that is about 1/8 mile.

This small botanical reserve is just outisde Cave Junction, OR and is a nice break. There is a short boardwalk with interpretive signs and longer trails connecting to other parks. The information is well presented and ineresting.

There is a huge pool in the river there, with a small beach, for summertime swimming. Many picnic areas as well as a few camping sites. Lots of trails to walk on and even restrooms.
