Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This a neat exhibit a little outside the city…right on stadium grounds, so there is plenty of parking. Aside from the Olympic Cauldron torch, there were many informational boards, an Olympic Rings statue, a medal winners podium and an exhibit of flags from all the countries that participated in the 2002 Salt Lake City Winter Olympics. Plenty of photo opportunities and it is free to visit.

Great to say saw the Olympic torch outside the stadium, when the winter Olympics were held in Salt Lake City. Plenty of photos to take. It wasn’t busy on the day we stopped. Plenty of parking. This historic site some distance from the city but glad we stopped.

We were disappointed. It’s kind of cool to say you were at the Olympic park but there wasn’t much there to see. We went on a Saturday and the visitors center was closed, which seemed weird. It may have been better if we could have went into the center and read more information.

this item is located in what we thought was the visitors center located within the university of Utah-waiting 30 minutes until the item opened was actually the ticket office for the university and on the back side of the south stands of the stadium was the cauldron with no explanation as to its history or how it was built or any other information-after 20 minutes left with a feeling of disappointment

You can do a tour for $10 each of take a complimentary min bus to the various olympic sights. There is a museaum where you can have a go at virtual skiing long jump for $1. There is a simulator where you can experiance what is like to do different types of skiing. We thought looking at the olympiuc ski Jumps amazing. We were able to have a go at bob sledding for $75 each. An experience not to be missed. For us it was great sitting outside with a drink watching skiers performing amazing jumps from an artificial ski slope and landing into a swimming pool. You just have to see it. A great day.

Just neat to be able to say you saw an Olympic caldron. Sadly it is someone hidden at the stadium, but can be seen from the road.

I was a volunteer for the 2002 Winter Olympics in SLC and after the games were all done, the city built this lovely reminder of what the games meant to the city. It is situated at the South end of the U of U Stadium where the opening and closing ceremonies were held. I was lucky enough to go to both of these events. Last time I was here, they had a nice display of Olympic pictures and a good video. The Cauldron is awesome to stand under. SLC was very proud to hold the Olympics here.

I take my son here often in hopes that he will have a desire and the ability to go to the Olympics someday!

This is an attraction you can drive by and see it all. It used to consist of the 2002 Olympic cualdron and the Hoberman Arch used on one of the stages to present medals and entertainment. The University of Utah removed the Arch so there's really not much to see.

Located at the Rice-Eccles Stadium at the University of Utah. Unless you happen to be passing by this landmark, I wouldn't make a special trip. You will only be able to see the cauldron and a few outdoor signs along the pathway, it literally takes all of 5 minutes. The landmark is not being maintained very well.
