You could listen all day, but at noon you get a special treat someone different plays. Today's woman used both feet and played Familiar tunes.

My wife and I came here to hear the organ recital on a Sunday afternoon. It is not that far of a walk from Little America hotel where we were staying. The impressive pipe organ is a symbol of the importance Latter-day Saints place on worshipping God through music. The Tabernacle organ has an interesting history. I am glad we... More

If you are a fan of organ music then this is well-worth your time. It seems that no one plays the organ anymore so it's almost like traveling back in time. The music is very much a selection of European classics; if you close your eyes you'll think you're back in Germany or Austria listening to a concert in one... More

beautiful organ, I realized that I don't particularly like organ music. would have left in the middle but didn't want to be rude.

The organ was mildly impressive. The music was traditional, muddy, and lacked much personality. It's easy to sneak out between pieces so go if you want to sit for a few minutes.

After all the hype we expected much more than what was offered. Do not take children as they will be bored and restless. If you just need rest and meditation this will be for you.

Find out the hours there organ is practicing and join the group to enjoy the organ .we sat in the back and was completely enthralled. One thing I found strange, no clappping and no noise.

This was well worth the time to stay and listen. The woman who performed was extremely good. The pipe organ is HUGE! How anyone can perform on it with all the levels of controls and pedals needing to be pushed is extraordinary. Music was loud but beautiful. The acoustics were surprising. Audience must be extremely quiet. May not be for... More

We wanted to see the Tabernacle, but the choir was not in town. Instead, we went to one of the frequent organ recitals. Magnificent! Short acoustic demo was an eye-opener. Building is dated and a bit worn, but still impressive. If you're around Temple Square you don't want to miss this.
