We drove up this canyon several times during our stay in SLC area. Enjoyed seeing the snow. Visited Brighton ski area and the Silver Lake area. Did some shopping at Brighton ski resort store and went snowshoeing at Silver lake. The canyon is always beautiful...More

Big Cottonwood Canyon is the prettiest canyon around Salt Lake City. The drive up to the top (Brighton Ski Area) gives great vistas around every turn of the twisty road up. The rock formations, streams, forests, and mountains are breathtaking. Don’t miss the chance to...More

There are a number of canyons out of the Salt Lake Valley. Parley's Canyon leads to Park City, Millcreek is great for hiking, but for sheer beauty Big Cottonwood is the most beautiful and has the best ski resorts in the winter.

Mesmerizing! So beautiful and serene. A great place to reconnect with nature and all it's beauty. Especially beautiful in the Spring when all the wildflowers are blooming. If you want to see wildlife plan your trip early in the morning or early evening.

Utah sometimes has snow up until June but this year who knows. I would check out Snowbird Resort’s weather before coming - they are the last resort to close down each year and if there is snow they will be open.
