Loved it, had a great time

Hubby and I spent most of the day at the zoo and loved every minute of it! Parking was easy, it wasn't expensive and though it was rainy looking it didn't spoil our day. They have... read more

Every time you go, there will be a new area, or new attraction or different animals to see. There seem never enough time to see it all in 1 day. Bring a pick nick or visit the food sites, make sure you have a snack and water. Enjoy the characters of the animals, not one is a like, they are... More

Senior rate is $13. 2-4-1 with FOTZ membership. Hogle zoo as a good array of animals, medium quality exhibits, and the highest concentration of children under 6 years old that we have ever been. It is a virtual "stroller city". This was the last day of September and, although hot, the zoo had already done much of its winterization. Some... More

Our family of 5 visited the Hogle Zoo on Monday morning, November 2. We used a coupon found online (simple Google search) for $1 off each admission. We walked right in, and had the place mostly to ourselves. Train was closed, but I overheard an employee say it would run later in the morning. Highlights were seeing the keepers work... More

Heard from the Hostel agent that the owners' child had died the year before, and since then they have neglected it and it shows....animals looked bored and tired....not a lot of enrichment, one person to buy entry tickets for the 20 people standing in line. None of the concessions were open. Overgrown habitats.... I have been to over 35 zoos... More

The zoo is about 40+ acres and is easy to navigate. Most of the animal habitats are newer and the animals were almost all out and about and active when I was there (except the big cats which were pretty sleepy - as most cats are) The elephants, seals, bears and giraffes were all quite active and moving around a... I believe it was around $28 for two adults to get in. Large open area. The lions were unavailable, and most of the animals were hidden. Coffee was $3 each small cup in the Bistro, and was just regular (nothing fancy) You had to pay extra to ride the train, which we decided not to ride. Loved the scenery and... More

Hubby and I spent most of the day at the zoo and loved every minute of it! Parking was easy, it wasn't expensive and though it was rainy looking it didn't spoil our day. They have some animals that I've never seen before (bobcat, siberian lynx and amur leopard) so I was very excited, I can highly recommend this attraction... More

Great place for learning and enjoying. Small children love to see the animals but are learning with the signs and listening activities. The tactic interaction is very good as well.
