Once the site of Utah Territorial Prison, this park is a lot more pleasant today, with a gently rolling landscape great for running.

A very clean, large park with excellent groundskeepers. Very clean. Very safe for walking, exercise or just hanging out. I have never felt vulnerable or in danger there. We live in SLC and walk at the park most days.

Love this park. The view it has is simply amazing. Very relaxing and really well taken care of. One of my all time favorite parks. Great spot for a daily walk/jog too. Calm and peaceful unless you are here on a 4th of July then it's total chaos in a fun celebrating way :) a must see for any SLC... More

The place to do some inner tube sliding, sometimes it can be crowded, but its a good spot to spend some time sliding from a snow covered hill side.

What a beautiful place. Tons of room, happy joggers, bikers, dogs and families doing picnics or just enjoying the beauty of the outdoors! This is going to be a regular spot for a nature fix!

This park is so serene and beautifully landscaped with a little lake. I have gone to countless BBQs there and it's the perfect setting for them. It's great for jogging, walking, bike riding, photo shoots, etc. I don't have much more to say about it except it is truly lovely.

This park isn't the best. There's a stinky pond where you can feed the geese and ducks, but there's tons of poop. The playgrounds (there are at least two) are just average, your basic playground with nothing fancy, but enough to keep kids interested for a while. There are tons of wasps in the late summer to ruin your picnic.... More

Sugarhouse park is 3/4 way to most eastern boundary of Sugarhouse and extends to the East Bench. In the summer people jog, run their dogs, play frisbee and picnic. Several pavilions are available for rent from $70 for 1/2 day and $100.00 full day. Many family and business outings make reservations a must and well in advance. The topography of... More

Sugarhouse Park is a great place for family and group picnics, with playgrounds and covered table areas situated along a central drive. A beautiful water retention pond is at the center of this property used by everyone from joggers to sledding enthusiasts depending on the season. Community fireworks in July with space enough for all and accessible by freeway, I-80... More
