Lots to do

Make sure you stop by the office to get food, it's not too expensive, or bring something for the geese. The wagon ride is fun, even when it breaks down.

We stopped by Wheeler Historic Farm as we read our son could earn a cub scout badge for milking the cow. We were only at the Farm for a couple of hours (which is really all the time you need) but it was a lovely afternoon and the staff was very friendly. I would recommend this farm for some family... Wheeler Historic Farm is a fun place to visit with the kids. Lots of animals and local history mixed in with engaging activities. You can always count on a good time when you go to "the Farm." Judy Helm Wright--Author/Publisher & Intuitive Wise Woman--Visiting from Missoula, Montana

I love visiting the farm! The animals are fun to observe, especially the cows. Several different "farm" activities for the kids. So educational watching the goings-on of a working farm.

On a good day you can wander around the farm and take in some good local history while viewing traditional farm animals and building and farm equipment that have been well taken care of.

The Yellowish house pictured used to belong to my great great grandparents. This is a wonderful property to hang out on and interact with a variety of farm animals. You can take your dog to play fetch, and watch your kids play on the playground. The barn can be rented out for events, and they have a large pavilion space.... More

Best time of year to visit is during October. They offer fun activities during this month. It is a farm tour with all your basic farm animals. You can even have a little hayride. It can be a nice little place to take the kids and have a picnic. The cost is very cheap to free depending on what you... More

Wheeler Farm is such a fun place that you can visit and revisit over and over at any time of the year. We love to take the dogs around and let them see the animals. They have every variety of fancy chickens, goats, cows, horses, sheep, and more. Many are so friendly you can pet them. The workers there are... More
