This 90 minute trip crosses the international boundary between the U.S. and Canada. The Black Ball Ferry has an attentive crew and if you have disabled or aged passengers they go out of their way to assist you with your voyage and making connections on either side of the border. Would recommend this to any others seeking a unique border... More

I paid $11 to reserve the space, but unfortunately had to cancel (4 days in advance) due to changing plans. But they told me the reservation cannot be canceled and the reservation fee will not be refunded! And this policy is nowhere to be found on their website nor in booking process! Feels like a ripoff!

Dear Soxinly, Thank you for taking the time to review our ferry service. We would like to explain our cancellation policy in further detail. When making a ferry reservation to guarantee your vehicle spot on a specific sailing, you pay a non-refundable reservation fee (as mentioned in our booking process), and you are asked to confirm (by checking the box)... I received an email from Black Ball Ferry describing a Christmas excursion featuring round trip ferry to and from Victoria BC, overnight lodging at the Royal Scot, and shuttle bus transportation with entrance to view the Christmas lights at Butchart Gardens. It sounded like great good fun, so we booked. Since Black Ball Ferry put the package together, when we... More

We took the ferry from Victoria, British Columbia to Port Angeles, Washington on a misty cool Monday in October. We parked the car in the lower level of the ferry and then moved upstairs. We cars are parked very close together and it is very difficult to maneuver between them. It was a worry about bumping the car next door... More

We took this ferry from Port Angeles to Victoria BC. You are asked to arrive for boarding 1 hour before sailing which seemed really early but that is their requirement. Boarding and disembarkment was efficient and easy.

Took the ferry after the storm and the seas were a bit rough...not enough to make you seasick, but just enough to make you feel tipsy trying to walk to the bathroom. The staff puts the safety of the passengers first. The waves were hitting the right side of the ferry and, not only did they announce you passengers not... More

This was a perfect ride. It was quick and smooth. And cheap. We have riden the Clipper in the past but it is 5x the price. We would do this again. The boat was clean and staff courteous

Getting on and off is well organized and flows well. Quick reliable transportation between Port Angeles and Victoria. Ship is fairly stable with mile rocking, not enough to get seasick or need Dramamine. You can plug in your devices so they are fully charged by the time you get to the other side. Ship was clean.
