I was amazed at how many cars and trucks fit on this ship. We were able to change our departure time the day before and were a little worried we wouldn't get on the earlier crossing, but they fit everything in, including us. Very smooth...More

I really wanted to give Black Ball Ferry Lines a 5 star review but our last experience brought it down one. The guy guiding us in to park our vehicles was having to navigate two lanes with cars coming in at the same time. The...More

The loading and unloading went very smoothly. The ship is old but very well maintained and clean. The only problem, not associated with the boat, was the US Customs requiring you arrive 90 minutes before departure in Victoria. In Port Angeles it's only 60 minutes....More

We have taken the ferry over to Victoria several times now and it can be a great experience or not so much fun just depends on the weather. This boat can get rocking when the wind is blowing so if you have even the slightest...More

This ferry does the job of getting you from Victoria to Port Angeles (or reverse). The sailing are limited. Since you have to be at the terminal ahead of time, I recommend reserving. We were even able to prepay our return portion.

We enjoyed our trip across on the Black Ball Ferry. I only wish we could have gone both ways, but didn't get a reservation early enough. Food availability is limited and I wish fares were in Canadian dollars or I would have rated higher. Outside...More
