We had the pleasure of doing the Joshua's Wish 5K at Amerson. We had heard of the park-but had never visited. What a beautiful place!! Nice trails, picnic areas. Lovely place to spend a day with family and/or Fido!

Really beautiful park. Huge, well-laid out and maintained. Plenty of walking trails (we plan to hike them next time!) and wide-open spaces. Access to the river. We were glad we went out of our way to check it out.

We live here in Macon. We love walking here but remember that you are in Macon ga . There have multiple cars broken into. Shootings happen every other day. Keep your head on a swivel and if you are a women don't walk alone.

As a long time resident of Macon, I have long envied the public parks of other towns. Amerson provides a high quality park that combines an ambitious vision with dedicated execution. The inter-weaving walking/riding trails are inviting to individuals, couples, friends, families, and friendly pets....More
