Neither of us had ever jumped before so naturally I booked my wife and I the highest one — the Kea Jump from 20000 ft!

It was an absolute blast from start to finish! If you’re on the fence, definitely worth splurging and going for it! The crew were so nice and yet so efficient. The whole experience was fantastic!

Super friendly and professional team that made the experience a lifetime highlight.

A spur of the moment decision to skydive with this team based on perfect weather conditions and the whole experience was smooth as. Felt very safe in the team's hands. Great bunch of people.

My partner was able to come and sit with others who were'nt jumping and she was made to feel very welcome by the groundcrew whilst we were jumping.

I cannot recommend them highly enogh! 20,000 stars!!

WOW!!!!! Everything was PERFECT.. from friendly communications and updates from Angie prior, to her even checking weather and moving my dive so that the weather was good. Communication was excellent, all paperwork, waivers and legal scan be done online once booked and prior to your jump. All the staff knowledgeable, friendly and downright super cool. Made everything a breeze for myself and others jumping. Angie was great at calming and reassuring some clients about the jump who had not dived before. From pre checks to fitting of jumpsuits everything was professional and Covid restrictions strictly adhered to. I opted for the “best of both worlds video package” with my 20000ft Kea jump… yes 20000ft… ( if you going to jump I suggest this for a lifetime memory, 3 videos and more photos than you can imagine! I also suggest just do the 20000ft as if you scared you will kick yourself for not once you have done a jump that you didn’t. Was definitely worth the price for the jump and video package.Kelly was my photographer and video guru and she did a superb job at it. Peter was my tandem master and a great guy, he did commentary all the way up in the plane to me of various places of interest we could see. I must say his view from “ his office “ up there is to die for. Somewhat smug about it lol and yes Peter I am jealous. The pilot was Angus and a great guy and offered once I’d landed safely ( of course we would) to take a picture of me in front of the plane holding a 20000ft sign.. ( inserts bragging rights here :) !!!) Robbie the base manager friendly as ever, actually as I stated all staff were and I’m sure these guys have great fun all year round. I was told by Angie they were testing out the previous day a jump suit for people with disabilities, how cool is that, as some with disabilities miss out on so much. I think that’s super awesome. Also the staff during Covid have started “Jobs for Nature” as have been affected by lack of International tourists, and started helping DOC with this and this in turn has helped both parties and Sky Dive Franz Josef to continue operating.

The dive was insane 85 Seconds of free fall..The weather cleared up perfect, the views blissful of the glaciers and snow capped mountains and the experience once in a lifetime.. well I’m sure I’ll do it again one day. Thank you to the entire team at Sky Dive Franz Josef for your kindness, friendliness and professionalism throughout my experience. I’d give you 100000 stars if I could.

In short, for any reading reviews here … JUST DO IT. HAVE FUN and enjoy the views and experience.

What a experience! I did the 20,000 feet jump and it was the most beautiful place to do it! My jumper buddy was so cool! He made me feel excited and was like I was doing it with my best friend 🤣. All staff were lovely. Well worth the four days I stayed waiting for the weather to permit but then got a stunner day ☺️. Highly recommend!

WHAT AN EXPERIENCE, one I will never forget, my partner Alexis persuaded me to do the 20,000ft for my 30th birthday.

In the morning, the weather looked a little cloudy/overcast and the novice in me thought it may not be as enjoyable as on a blue bird day, however we flew above the clouds and the view of the mountain tops was just surreal. Great views of Mt Cook, Fox Glacier, Franz Glacier, Lake Pukaki and the rugged coastline. I also purchased the hand-cam and photography package.

Robbie was my instructor, he had a great sense of humour and was fantastic at calming my nerves by distracting me with great chat and pointing out all the points of interest.

I was last to jump and nervous about watching the others before me (knowing I would have the time to panic), but luckily it was a very quick turn around and before I knew it I was dropping out of the plane.

I have never experienced such a feeling as that in the moment I dropped out the plane and the 85 seconds freefall.

Robbie even let me steer the parachute as we got closer to the ground. Very happy with the footage and the photographs.

Highly recommend - if your going to skydive don't think twice about ding the 20,000ft!

This was my 3rd skydive ( I previously went in Sydney, Aus & Canada). This skydive was BY FAR the best one I've ever done. The staff are super friendly, triple check your safety gear and answer any questions I had about the landscape and the dive.

This is a great way to see Mt. Cook, Franz Joseph Glacier & fox glacier as the plane ride up to the desired height provides a spectacular view of the Tasman Sea, glaciers and the mountains. I live in beautiful Canadian Rockies and I have never seen that close of a view of the mountain and glaciers before.

I had friends that skydived in Taupo, Able Tasman and Wanaka and they all got pictures. If your mission is just to jump out of the plane, then those places are okay. BUT my photo over the MOUNTAINS was SO MUCH BETTER than anyone's pictures of fields or a lake in the background.

Also Red Bull has ranked Skydiving Franz Josep, one of the best/insane places to skydive in the world.

Tips: If you have the budget for photos - purchase the Personal Photographer package. The pictures the extra jumper take are fantastic and make for a great souvenir.

Also, the height doesn't matter too much. The difference between the 13,000 ft & 16, 500 ft & 20,000 ft is the higher you jump the longer you spend in the plan and you only get a few more seconds of freefall for each height difference.

MONEY TIP - Jump 13, 000 and buy the Personal Photographer is you best value for money according to the staff and I could not agree anymore. I went 16, 500 and the free fall wasn't;t that much difference then the 13, 000.

Literally the best skydive ever, had the gorgeous Jordan and dream Sancho as my camera man. Not did I only fall in love with these men, which made my poor boyfriend feel inadequate but I knew I was in safe hands when Jordan saved a bee that was trapped in the plane!

The dive itself was wonderful with the spectacular views and worth every dollar. The video was fab too.

Thanks guys! Fall with you again sometime in the future. :)

First time skydiving and Prashant helped make it an incredible experience. Splashed out on the video package and the big jump but wouldn’t do it any other way. Got slightly nervous when the breathing masks were necessary but Prashant kept up a casual rapport that inspires confidence. Felt totally relaxed right up until we left the plane! Unbelievable experience, would recommend to anyone.
