This drive is the ultimate in sea view vistas. Everywhere is somewhere you want to stop and take a photo. I love this drive, I love this country

You might not see too many cars on the road even in summer, but you would never feel isolated. As you would be surrounded by the spectacular beauty coming on the way or around you, which was full of vigour.

Love this ride especially on the BMW. The views. The smells. Bush and sea vistas. Pray for no rain tho. We were lucky.

The views are stunning and most of the time you drive on your own. While buses and trucks can slow you down there are always places where you can easily and safely overtake them. In general driving on South Island is a real pleasure.

Fantastic experience on our three day road trip. Lots to see and do, much of it free. Loved the beauty and isolation. Drove for ages without seeing anyone and even the towns were not crowded. Loved the whole coast.
