We really enjoyed this walk even with the rain. Wasnt to hard although a moderate level of fitness is required. Some beautiful sights along the way then you are met with the magnificiant falls. It was rainy and misty when we did it however we...More

This was a nice walk, although not brilliantly signposted, we weren't sure how long left we had until we reached the Silica Rapids. It wasn't too much of a struggle, as the walk is well developed. A nice thing to do in the area with...More

This hike is more challenging than the guide book says, but it is very worthwhile with beautiful views, asounding plants and trees and geological sites, streams and spectacular colors: of the stone, of the water, of the plants. Definitely try it.

This is a nice enough walk but beware that it is uphill most of the way to the rapids then down the road on the way back. We preferred Taranaki Falls although the latter was much more crowded.

Breathtaking beauty around every turn! Everything was so lush and green and moss covered, there are waterfalls and rapids everywhere, you hear rushing water even when you can’t see it. A relaxing and gorgeous walk, if you love taking photos like I do it can...More
