We didn't go snorkelling or boating but goat island marine reserve is clearly a beautiful spot. There are opportunities to go snorkelling, kayaking, diving or simply. Doing nothing at all.

We drove from Auckland to Goat Island Marine reserve. Water too cold and no fish. The drive was beautiful and the roads well marked but forget snorkeling there.

We visited on a busy day but that didn’t stop us enjoying the beautiful sunshine and incredible underwater world. If you’re in the area, grab a snorkel and go for a dip!

One of my favourite places to go snorkelling. The marine life is amazing and to be able to swim and snorkel with the marine life is such a awesome experience. The only negative is that other visitors to the beach do not read or obey...More

Winter did not seem to put people off though there were a few die hard snorklers there but it was a wet windy day and we did not see too much

This island is great for snorkeling and is quite safe compared to other beaches. There are a lot of big fish you can see even from the shore.
