    Fun but pricey
Food and other extras are SO EXPENSIVE. I wonder why, because the tickets we buy are expensive too, I could understand if it were free entry. However, the lines weren’t horrendous even though it was school holidays. ABC world was nice and quiet all day which was great. So much to see. The highlight for me (a grown adult!😆) was capt. Cal Amari. Got me laughing and wondering who was behind the mic and how it is controlled! Lots of fun!
Glad to hear you enjoyed the day overall Brenda, and had some fun with Capt Cal! Hope it won't be too long until we welcome you back soon. -Max from Dreamworld

    Amazing Experience!!!!!!!
It was really, really good! We had a 6yrold who really enjoyed the rides, especially Madagascar. The water activities were really good as well, she just met 110cm so there were lots more rides she could choose from. Overall really positive feedback!!!!! Highly recommend
Thank you Sophia or sharing your experience with us! It sounds like your child really had such a wonderful day with you all. We are so glad to hear that there were many attractions you were all able to enjoy! We hope to welcome you all back in the near future to experience some of the new incredible additions coming to the park. You can find more information on our website! Thank you again for sharing Sophia! ~Sammy from Dreamworld

    Really enjoyable day.
We had a really enjoyable day. Lines were good with short waits for all of the rides. Park was clean, staff helpful, parking good. Lots of food choices - Kenny's Fried Chicken was yummy.
Isn't it great KD when the lines flow quickly giving you more time to enjoy your favorite attractions over & over! We are thrilled that you enjoyed our famous Kenny's Fried Chicken! It is definitely a delicious treat. We hope that we can welcome you all back soon to create more Dreamworld memories here with us. ~Sammy

    Amazing day at Dreamworld
Had a fantastic day a Dreamworld with our big family of 10! The Sky Voyager ride is absolutely fantastic! There was something for everyone and so many rides we could all do together. The koala's are cute and the tiger show was actually very informative and impressive. We had fresh wraps for lunch which were nice and the hot chips were exactly that. Hot and salty!!! They are doing quite a few renovations so we can't wait to come back again next year!! Thank you Dreamworld staff, everyone went above and beyond to make our day wonderful.
WOW Kim, it's so nice to see that you had such an amazing experience at Dreamworld! We always strive to be a place where friends and family can create happy memories, so it's great to hear such positive feedback! Our new Dreamworld Flyer ride will open up soon, so keep an eye on the socials and visit us again soon, we can't wait to welcome you back!!! Thanks, Monty @ Dreamworld

    Great Day Trip!!!
The park was huge and I do mean that in a good way. Was blown away by the quality and quantity of the things there to do. We had actually been thinking that we would be in and out within two hours as we’re not too much into the thrill rides. It took us nearly 5:30 hours aka from the start to the very stop despite being there since the beginning of the park. From food to medium and low thrill rides…. everything was there. Add the wildlife and it becomes a recipe for a great day out. Very excited for the coming up of the latest precinct Rivertown(was still constructing when we went) and overall am pretty excited about what the park will become when it’s completed.

Fun visit but a bit on maintenance ongoing at the moment
Was a fun visit. Good mix of rides and shows. Cuddling the Koala and the tiger show were great. Some of the rides were down for maintenance which took away a bit from the experience but overall worked as a good visit for us.

    Felt lacklustre this time around
I’ve been to Dreamworld twice before and this time was unfortunately underwhelming. Most of the rides were closed, the opening hours were shorter, and it was more expensive than the other parks. There were barely any staff so it was slow to get through the rides even with very minimal crowds. The Steel Taipan was fantastic and we went on it a bunch of times, but other than that there wasn’t much to get excited about. I’m hoping it was just an off day and/or still recovering from Covid but I expected more. Dreamworld used to be the best of the parks.

    Great family day out
Dreamworld is making a comeback! Heaps of new family rides, and the atmosphere around the park is starting to feel like they heyday of the late 90s. It’s a shame the kids don’t recognise the characters like when the dreamworks theming was there, but they still have the wiggles!

    Great day out at Dreamworld
We spent one day at Dreamworld, and the park was very busy, but there was not much in the way of lines for rides. I managed to get my children on the rides they wanted to go on, and the park was looking nice and tidy. Staff were friendly and helpful.

Spent the day here today with a toddler. I have just read all the reviews and they are all spot on. This place is a ghost town with so much run down. The rudest security guard ever is the first thing you are met with, as she demands to see your QLD check in app. I understand this is law, but this is a terrible first impression of what should be a fun day as her arm swings out into your chest to stop you moving forward with any sense of enthusiasm. Only one food place open for lunch and it was disgusting, overpriced and incredibly unhealthy. Most rides closed, even more than what was listed on the maintenance schedule online, and zero atmosphere with no street performances. The big electronic sign says that the Gold Coaster is open till 5, but they make you walk all the way to the top of the tower before telling you it closed at 4. I have read all the management responses to everyone’s complaints and expect the same. I feel sorry for whoever is forced to reply to all these with a touch of positivity. There is no way that the gate fees are covering the overheads at the moment so like everyone else I am expecting an undignified end to what was once a great park. The only good thing is that if you ever wanted to feel like Clark Grisworld and have Wally World to yourself for the day, then this is about as close as you will get. And it even comes with the angry security guard. Maybe someone should take her on a roller coaster!

…but it would probably be closed.

Good afternoon TheBirdWhoToldYou, Thanks for taking the time to review our park. I'm sorry to hear that your experience was less than you had hoped for. You'll be relieved to hear that although our rides & attractions rotate through their annual maintenance period through the year like any theme park globally, we never have most of our rides down at once. The schedule of this maintenance activity is listed on our website so our guests can plan their day accordingly. Sorry to see you missed out on the shows. The presentations we have daily are: Wiggly Friends Show, Madagascar Live Show, Jukebox Rock'n'Roll Performance, Wildlife Talk, Tiger Presentation, Crocodile talk and of course our friendly characters also make several scheduled appearances throughout the day as well. You can see the show and entertainment schedule on the in-park digital signs as well as the website. Hopefully next time you will be able to catch them! We have a large variety of different food options- many healthy, and some also typical theme park food options. The locations are: Dough Bros, Food Central, Green Bean, The Sandwich shop (which currently are stationed in the GB Café as well) all open daily and then depending on what day you visited, we also have Prestos open from Thursday-Monday. Barrels Burger Bar is seasonal and may have been closed during your visit if it was recent. I am sorry to hear about your encounter on arrival. It is most definitely not our intention for staff upset guests as we want to provide outstanding friendly service with a positive demeanor. I would like to apologise for any technical issue with the digital sign stating the Gold Coaster would be open until 5pm when the park shuts at 4pm Monday-Friday, It may have been updated as weekend times (which is still 5pm). I am guessing that is what’s happened and why you were turned away as we would have been closed. Nevertheless, I can completely understand and appreciate your frustration, especially with a toddler in tow. I have passed your feedback onto our management department for investigation and review. Again thank you so much for taking the time to reach out and express your concern, as we cannot make things better if we do not hear about them. I do hope that you will be able to come back and visit for a much more enjoyable experience. may I suggest visiting our friendly guest services team so they can heklp you to plan and get the most out of your day. Take care, and we hope to welcome you back soon. ~ Sammy.

Firstly, I should have checked the opening times as last time we attended I am sure the hours were longer than 1030am to 4pm. 5 and a half hours is really not long enough to enjoy the day, luckily for us it was a quiet day and the line ups not long. Saying this the second annoyance was making our way to the first ride to be told it would be another 20min as they were conducting the checks for start of day (dronkeys). Really this then meant the day didn't really start until nearly 11am, as 1 operator was working 2 rides in numerous parts of the park. Could these not be done before the park opens, so that visitors can enjoy the rides from the moment the park opens. It makes it hard when the kids have to stand around and wait.

It's disappointing that a number of food areas are closed, and that a number of areas look empty. For an entry fee of nearly $500 for a family of 5, it is disappointing to see what the park is like now.

Saying that our kids loved the rides they went on, but were again disappointed when leaving that the fantastic toys and items you were able to previously purchase are no longer available. No Madagascar toys or items, more so items that I can duck down to the local discount store and buy (stuffed Australia animals, no nice branded Dreamworld stuffed toys etc).

All in all I feel that it is expensive for what is provided, by this I mean the short time the park is open, the lack of items to purchase and the numerous areas which appear abandoned throughout the park.

Went for the day with the family. It was an absolute scorcher and I noticed plenty of uncomfortable people wandering around. Maybe the occasional mist spray to walk through. They’re inexpensive and pleasant on hot days...plus kids love running through them without getting drenched. Would have loved to have seen some “Bluey” presence in ABC kids world although I get that there may be some legal issues after the show was sold to Disney. The kids still had a ball and loved the LEGO shop on the way out.

$200 for two people, absolute Robbery! Dreamworld is no longer the crown jewel of Australian theme parks. I’ve been coming to dreamworld ever since I was a young child and granted my last visit was over 10 years ago, but the park feels like a ghost town, Hardly any shops open and as per the website only one major ride was under maintenance (shockwave) however, the gold coaster and mick doohan wasn’t working all day. The giant drop only has one side working (that looked like a permanent option) with the missing tower of terror, eureka mountain mine and wipe out, just feels a little less thrilling to more mild and boring. Dreamworld is building a $32m roller coaster but given the parks current state of rides breaking down, the money might have Ben better spent “doing up” the place and adding more thrill rides then one single coaster.

Sadly this will be my last visit to dreamworld, it’s sad because it use to be the best Australia had to offer.

However, there was one lady in the fairy shop that happily let us use her deodorant (as we need to buy some but they were sold out)

Thank you for sharing your feedback Will. I am sorry to hear that your recent experience with us was not a positive one. Unfortunately there are occasions when rides need to be temporarily closed due to unforeseen circumstances. These closures are usually only brief and often weather related for example wind or rain. We are going to great lengths to bring Dreamworld back to the exciting fun filled place that you mentioned and really do appreciate your feedback. We do hope to see you back in the near future, we have some exciting things planned ahead. Kind Regards Bec @ Dreamworld

Honestly, I don't think Dreamworld has recovered since the tragic death a good few years back, combined with the tourism hit to QLD during COVID. The park is run down, huge amount of rides out of order for maintenance, and it's just sad. No more tower of terror, no more log ride, no more train or paddle boats, or lovely rainforest restaurant. It's lost so much that made it great back in the day. I feel really bad for it, but as an adult it's a collosal waste of money. If you've got young kids I think there's still enough to do for the young ones to enjoy the day. Also, smuggle food in, because the food is atrocious, expensive and unhealthy.

Hi Shaleej2018, thank you for your review. Like any theme park globally, our rides & attractions must adhere to a strict and rigorous schedule of annual maintenance. There's never a great time for us to conduct this maintenance as we'll always have guests who were looking forward to experiencing a particular attraction here - if we could have it our way our rides would be open every day of the year. We have our entire maintenance calendar posted on our website to assist guests in planning their visits with us, and urge all visiting guests to have a look prior to arriving. Unfortunately sometimes we do have unexpected closures of our rides during the day, which can last from a few minutes, to the remaining day and we try to advise our guests as the information changes. All of our rides have integrated safety sensors which will cause a ride to cease operation when triggered. The rides cannot begin operating again until they have been checked and signed off by our Engineering & Maintenance team, which may take a few minutes or last for longer, depending on the ride. We have an assortment of healthy food options available at our Sandwich shop in Food Central as well as our pizza, burgers and kids meals so there's an option for everyone. Your review has been passed onto our management team, thank you again for your honest feedback. -Em from Dreamworld

We went to Dreamworld on the 14FEB20 & unfortunately for us a lot of rides, stores and restaurants were closed. It's certainly wasn't worth $99.00 entry fee for the limited things available to do. Save your money and do something else.

We went to Dreamworld today and it was terribly disappointing. Half the rides were closed for maintenance, we didn’t see one character of any kind around the park all day. We were told the Tiger exhibit only happens once a day and we had missed that as it was on early. Half the eateries were closed and some that were open had sold out of their offerings.

We wanted to pay our respects to the people who lost their lives there and we had to look up where their memorial was.

We went on the vintage car ride but were removed from the ride as my companion had a knee brace on and they needed to get clearance to let him ride. It’s obvious the tragedy that occurred there has them terrified of anymore law suits.

Overall we were terribly disappointed. We spent over $3,000 at the new Lego store there before we went into the park and I’d say go to the Lego Store but give the park a miss! Spend your money on Lego instead.

Thanks for your email Karen, did you go to Guest Services on the day to express your dissatisfaction with your visit? Sadly once our guests leave our park, we are limited in our abilities to be able to improve your experience here with us. We do list all of our scheduled maintenance on our website so guests can plan their day around ride availability, as we know people want to come through on days where their favorite rides are available. Ride maintenance is unavoidable for any theme park and we do our best to limit the impact on our guests as best as possible. Our Tiger Show is held at 12 pm daily which allows guests plenty of time to arrive and enter the park so to ensure they do not miss the show. In regards to your companion needing to see park health, these measures are taken for our guests own safety. Guests must be cleared to participate on any ride as per the Ride Manufacturers guidelines. Kind Regards Rebecca

We have been returning to Dreamworld for over 20 years, and have watched it die a slow death. Last week epitomised the end for us. Admittedly we were visiting during the week, but virtually every ride was either not going, or had broken down. Fortunately we had a 13 month pass from last year,so we hadn’t needed to purchase a ticket for this year, but I am sad to say that this will be our last trip to what used to be a highlight of the annual holiday for our family. I can not justify the ridiculous cost of visiting a park that provides no service, and whose water park closes at 4pm! The entire park is a ghost town and it will take significant improvements for us to return in the future.

No dreams at Dreamworld.
Our family (13) all pre purchased a 3 day pass to use over a 6 month period through RACV which included Dreamworld, White Water World and a visit to QE2 Observation deck on the Gold Coast, We thought this would be excellent for our family trip to the Gold Coast.
We all turn up at Dreamworld on Monday 21st March at opening time only to be told that our downloaded ticket (both printed and wallet download) do not work They could see payment but no info held, We all had to go through the full ticket purchase process again and although the staff were great the whole process took 25/30 minutes to get us in. Then once in over 30% of the park was either closed or only partially working. We found out then that White Water World was only open Frid/Sat/Sun so a waste of time taking our swim wear. Food was super expensive as expected but even more so. In all, the poor start to the day, a lot of rides closed, White Water World not open, Really expensive food all made for a poor family experience -
These places want tourists back but we will not go back and the whole experience not only from us but a lot of people we spoke to at Dreamworld was so disappointing for them and our whole family, There were some good rides and new features from previous visits that were good but the overall experience that we had was Poor and to go through this process of a review shows just how cranky we are.

Dear trevnet1 Thank you for taking the time to give us a review. Feedback is an invaluable resource to allow Dreamworld to collect details on what our Guests love, and in which areas we can further improve. We are so sorry about your recent experience in park! Firstly, we'd like to apologise for the delay at the front entry, we understand the frustration that it has cause, and appreciate your patience and understanding. Unfortunately, there is no good time for us to complete our ride maintenance, just like any machine they require thorough and regular maintenance. To ensure our guests have as much information as possible and can plan to avoid any disappointment, we do have our ride maintenance schedule on signage out the front and inside the park, as well as on our website here :https://www.dreamworld.com.au/park-information/ride-status-info/ . We urge all guests to check ahead of your next visit to make sure you can avoid any disappointment, and experience all the rides you missed last time. We are sorry to hear that your experience with our food outlets left you feeling disappointed, we strive to offer good quality food for an affordable price, but we are sorry you feel you didn't receive this. For your next visit, if you aren't already aware, if you have a Locals Annual Pass you are entitled to discounts on purchases in our food and retail outlets, just show your pass when you order for a discount! This discount does not apply to purchases from the LEGO store. Once again, we would like to thank you for your feedback and encourage you to contact us again should you have anything additional to share or require further assistance, our email is contactcentre@dreamworld.com.au We hope to welcome you back soon. This was our family's biggest ever holiday! We are from WA and dreamworld smashed our expectations!

We are staying at SeaWorld resort and the village owned parks are a poor cousin to dreamworld!

When we arrived we had brought food and drinks with us, however this isn't allowed in dreamworld, but is fine for whitewater world. The security guys were very friendly about it, and I just put it back in the car.

The food inside is very good and for $17 you can get a cool steel taipan reusable cup with unlimited refills at the many beverage locations.

We literally didn't stop all day, everywhere you go something is happening. We had jugglers, acrobats, shows, a brilliant circus that has an epic finale.

The tiger show is amazing and they are in charge, they don't have to do anything they don't want to! You can tell that they are loved.

My son is two and about 95cm and there was so much for him to do that he literally crashed within seconds of getting in car

My 13 and 9 year old daughters couldn't stop smiling and my wife and I finally felt we were on the Gold coast holiday we had planned.

The park was busy, very busy, however the rides were always in operation (bar a brief moment in afternoon due to lighting) and the lines were long, but along every ride is very clear markers with your expected wait time.

We purchased the ride express unlimited and it was worth every dollar. Recommend if you are really here as a probable one off.

Sky Voyager was the suprise hit for our family and absolutely worth the wait (que is air-conditioned also)

Steel Taipan was an absolute gem of a ride, motorbike one was cool, but for some reason the gold coaster was the one I rode multiple times.

The staff at every point and attraction were great, many had there own spin on ride intros
and all looked actually happy to help.
The circus crew and jet pack guys added a real sense of 'dreamworld' to the experience and even the security guards who had to turn us around with food handled it with empathy and professionalism.

Thank you dreamworld, jet pack and Ashton circus
In short movie world and seaworld have a lot to learn IMO
