Really terrible service, no refund would be given after asked because the signage around the park is different to the signs they use to measure at the rides. My youngest missed out after being so excited to be here and then to be given to care or refund is disgusting. Not surprised this place is empty and you don’t have to wait for rides. Wouldn’t come here with kids or family. Waste of time and inconsistency in the rules and definitely not accomodating. Now also on top of the terrible time, my daughter really enjoyed the wave pool but as we were enjoying our time swimming (one of the only things we were allowed to do) theres atleast 15 life guards around and then the pool has to be closed because someone was sick. I was standing right next to the family and saw no one sick. So wave pool is closed til 4pm and they don’t care about the horrible experience they’ve put us through over Christmas. I also saw a two year get injured as she was climbing up the slide as the lifeguards were not watching. Would never recommend to ANYONE And now we finally get told the youngest can go on ONE waterslide so we walk over and a woman has been injured.. once again dreamworld doing their best and failing miserably

Good afternoon itsemileee, Thank you for your feedback which is very much appreciated. We strive for service excellence and are disappointed to hear that you and your family felt let down during your visit. We apologise that you felt the rules were inconsistent during this day. With the Wave Pool, when guests are sick in the water we have strict procedures set in place for the health and safety of the guests and must adhere to these guidelines. But, in saying this, we do not wish to upset any of our guests with how these directions are implemented. We are grateful for your feedback about experience you endured. We take each feedback as an opportunity to improve and provide further training. Your feedback has also been shared with all relevant departments for internal investigation and review. We hope to welcome you all back into the park for a much better experience in the near future. ~Sam.

A disappointing, but not disastrous day. The ride that were open were good, but too many were closed. And whilst we appreciate care and safety are important, too many of the staff seemed disinterested in getting the lines moving all that quickly. The rides are pretty good, but compared to its rival down the road, it looks a little tired.
Worst of all was waiting an hour for the Hydrocoaster only due it to break down 5mins from the top. Those running the ride were slow to do anything, hoping it would magically fix itself. No communication at all about the hold up. Then someone came along, and after 10mins of staving at buttons told us all that the slide was closed. Any offer for a free fast pass for another slide, or even an ice cream for the wasted hour? Or the option to wait it out in the queue? Or a stamp to skip the queue of the ride is fixed later on the day? Or an apolgy? Nope. Just bad luck and get off. Guess what? 10mins later the ride is working again. We go over and.... we're back a the 1 hour wait mark. Terrible customer service.
If you have one day at a water park - go to Wet and Wild.

Hi, so sorry to hear that you had a delay in getting onto the hydrocoaster ride. It is a shame that you had not visited our Guest services counter with your feedback before you left so that we had the opportunity to help make things better. Our list of rides closure can be readily found on our website and is always on display at the front entry. There will be times when rides, like what you found out for the Hydrocoaster, for a ride to experience a temporary closure due to a technical or guest issue, but we will have the ride running soonest possible once it has been cleared . Whitewater World will open again in September after winter, and we welcome you back.

First time visitor and I dont think I'd be in a hurry to go back, unless I had discounted tickets or something.
Quite a big area and we went on what appeared to be a pretty quiet day but the wait times were still 20minutes for a 1 minute slide experience. Having said that, the slides we went on were fun. The facility was pretty clean apart from grub parents who left their used nappies out for other people to pick up. Not the park's fault but its pretty disgusting to see. Also, we couldnt find warm showers when we were ready to leave. They may be there but they weren't at the amenities block we used.

Fellow reviewer cben0056 said it so well in December - Been to both WhiteWater World and WetnWild. No comparison. WhiteWater World so much better. Newer, better facilities, better slides, better everything really. I can’t see the point in going to WetnWild having been to both. WhiteWater World’s slides are far superior. Family pools and facilities cleaner and better.
Having also been to both parks, I too would pick Whitewater World over its competitor every time! More parking. Quicker entry to park. Shorter lines and great attention to safety by staff. Facilities are operating, rather than being closed for maintenance. A winner by a country mile.
Order a 3 day pass online. Save 15% and get access to Dreamworld too.

This review is solely for the customer service and signage of Whitewater World. The signage was wrong. The signage stated that it opened at 10:00am but it didn’t open until 10:30am. Customers that arrived earlier were lining up according to the signage of what lanes were available only to all be diverted to one lane. There were many meltdowns and disappointment. Even let a school go in before any other customers. Not happy with the service.

Annual pass so took the kids mid-week and it was not crowded. Many slides not open at all. The ones that were did not run all of them and the wait was way too long. Lined up for ages for no obvious reason. The “fully 6” slides had only 3 operating and were ridiculously slow to go down. I was literally pushing myself down with the trickle of water. Thought it was because I’m an adult but my 35kg son said he was doing the same.
Seems that when not peak times they skimp on staff and water pressure which led to a dissapointing day.
I’d hate to know the wait times in school holidays…

We had purchased passes for both Dreamworld and WhiteWater World and were excited to travel down from North Qld for our first Gold Coast holiday. We had researched all of the slides and only one was meant to be closed for maintenance. When we arrived though, we found that the family slides we had been looking forward to were closed. We couldn’t go on Temple of Huey or Little Rippers and the BRO was also closed as well as the Triple Vortex being under maintenance. The only open rides The Rip, Green Room and Hydro Coaster had massive lines which barely moved. We found that while waiting, many people with Slide Express just kept going straight back up after sliding so the line just had to keep waiting for them to have multiple turns.
The kids loved the water park but this and the wave pool were our only real options for them in interact with. The waves take a really long time between cycles and the Fully 6 also didn’t appear to be operating correctly. Some people were barely moving down the slides and hardly anyone was being sent down in the time period we were watching with 2 of the 6 also not in operation.
Seating was readily accessible and we enjoyed our lunch but were overall disappointed with our 2 slides over the 7 hour period we were there.

We went on a school holiday Saturday so knew it would be busy and that is fine. BUT there is absolutely no attempt to run the slides efficiently and reduce wait times. It was very frustrating that they do not attempt to utilise all of the slides at the same time so that the wait times could be halved. They are happy to let 2 people go down and not use the remaining 2 slides so that everyone has to wait for the ride to clear before more people can go down. We were next in cue and would have happily gone down the 2 remaining slides but were not even asked. When I queried the 'lifeguard' she said "oh yeah you could have gone on but its too late now. It saves me having to call out to see who want to go on the available slides". Well I would rather save the 40 people in the line who have paid for this experience half of their wait time than save you who is being paid from having to make an effort to fill the available slides. Wet n Wild is run more efficiently. I do like Dreamworld though. Shame this laziness and inefficiency is ruining what could be a good park. Also the wave pool was like a big hot bath with 500 people in it, not very pleasant.

We’ve had annual passes for here and Dreamworld for a number of years but we won’t be renewing when they expire next month.
Our previous visit was December 23, we lasted an hour before leaving as the lines were ridiculous, including waiting 30mins for a drinks refill as only one outlet was open. Very short staffed and when I complained I was told “we weren’t prepared for how busy we would be”
We visited for the first time this year yesterday and very disappointed to see nothing has changed.
Echoing some of the reviews above, half the slides were out of service and the lines at the 2 or 3 slides that were working were horrific.
Some truly ridiculous processes and a complete lack of tubes make the waits frustratingly long. Having only 2 tubes on a ride meaning waiting an eternity for it to be sent back up and the Fully 6 which should be called the Failing 4 since only 4 out the 6 slides work and the 4 that do work move so slowly, you are highly likely to get stuck half way due to a lack of water.
Then there is the food. Waited over 30 mins for my food which was below average quality.
All the money is obviously being filtered into the upgrades at Dreamworld.
Save your time and go to Wet n Wild.

I was so looking forward to being my children here. 9, 6 and 3. However the waiting for rides was a lot and in my opinion it wasn’t a busy day. Like a read in another review it seems the over the top health and safety slows everything down. For example when queuing for the 6 slides they have a chain and we’re only letting one or two people up at a time rather than filling all the slides. On teh hyrdro roller coaster. The lifeguard had to wait for the previous ride to clear out of the bottoms of the slide to begin the weighing in and loading of the next slide. Couldn’t this be done while the previous ride was going? So it was ready to go as soon as the slide was clear. We waited for nearly an hour for this ride. Wiggle bay was also ridiculous in that my two children could not ride slides next to each other at the same time. A life guard ag the top would open the gate to let one child through to select a slide from the four options. They would go down to a life guard at the bottom and waiting parents and then the top life guard would walk back to the gate to
Let next child in. Very slow process. As a result my kids got very cold. Having a hot pool to warm up in would be lovely. We have an annual pass and hope to come back to try some slides we haven’t done but I found it very frustrating and slow. Came pre kids and it wasn’t like this from memory. I know past events have changed things but this seemed to really slow down the experience and take away the fun. Splash pad park was fun for my younger two but they got cold.

Se cierra por lluvia?
Hay mucha espera en los juegos?
Written 27 January 2018
