Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Had a lovely experience. The Irish lady working there was so helpful, we told her we had limited wine experience and she was so kind and friendly, talking us through what the process was, where we could sit, what would happen on our tasting, then talked us through each wine and let us enjoy them overlooking the vineyard at our leisure. We really enjoyed a couple so took a few bottles home. Would highly recommend.

Wow, what a great last visit in the hunter before heading home! Booked a table and was given one on the deck with amazing views! The service was great and really informative about the wines which were some of the best in the hunter we had over the weekend!
Next time want to try the restaurant too!

The best view of the vineyards in the Hunter without a doubt! Before settling in for lunch at Bistro Molines my friends and I stopped into Carillion to taste some wines. They have a great line called Lovable Rogue that produces varietals that other Hunter wineries don't do, which really caught my eye (and tastebuds). Matt, our guide, was charming and excellent at fill out our wine knowledge and introducing us to some new wines. All in all a great experience with an unbeatable view. It's a little out of the way but definitely worth it.

This winery has an outstanding view, as well as outstanding staff and wines. We booked a tasting and sat at the outdoor table and the experience was 5 star. we felt that our tasting was more like a fine dining experience. Melissa went above and beyond to ensure our experience was unforgettable. I highly recommend a tasting here.

Never headed that far down Mount View before but worth it. One of the best views in the Valley, especially after the rains and how green everything is at the moment.
Our cellar door tasting was very good, the guy knowledgeable about their wines, all good quality. We'll certainly come back here again next time.

Amazing view and amazing wine. Staff were extremely friendly and explained all their wine with passion and honesty.

Thanks for a great afternoon. Will be going back.

Bonus...... they are dog friendly and looked after our pooch just as much as they looked after us.

We visited Carillion wines as part of our wine tour and it was by far our highlight. We received a beautiful tasting experience by Matt, who both indulged and entertained us. We walked away with a lovely selection of wines. Thanks Carillion Wines 👍

Such a great well structured tasting with Melissa as she took us thru some of there unusual Italian varieties and showcasing classic Hunter varieties of Semillon Chardonnay & Shiraz. Throughly recommend a visit when in the Hunter & stocked up our cellar with some favourites

Reluctant to share this stand out location - but the informative and friendly service provided by Melissa and Matt at Carillion Wine @ Tallavera Grove deserves attention - it's the last winery on the left up Mount View road, away from the touristy area but surprisingly close to Cessnock, and has one of the best views in the wine region to taste wine where everyone should find something they like, for a $5 tasting fee to try an extensive range it's a fair deal - and not charged if you buy a bottle or 2 to go. Ring and book if you have a small group as it's not a large cellar door. The location also boasts a famous restaurant in Bistro Moline.
