Mindo is absolutely beautiful. Regrettably, I only went for one day, but if you have the time, I would advise to go for two days. The public bus costs $3.10 each way. You can't buy bus tickets online so you are advised to show up...More

It seems that a lot of people on Trip Advisor went to the directions of the five falls after riding the cable car. For us, we actually went the other way and hiked our way to Cascada Reina. We hiked for about 50 minutes to...More

We went to the waterfalls on a holiday (Battle of Pichincha) and it took us about 40 min to get on the Tarabita. It was totally worth the wait. There are 5 waterfalls and each one is beautiful. Some are easier for swimming. Do come...More

The ride with the tarabita was a lot of fun and the view is spectacular. On the other side we did the 5 waterfalls in a row which is an amazing walk though the cloud forest. In the end we walked to the waterfall closest...More

This place is definitely a must if you go to Mindo! First you get the addrenaline up with cablecar ride across a canyon, then you can walk to different waterfalls 7 all in all and even swim in them. If you want to see them...More

If you are in Mindo, you must do the open cable car ride over the ravine. It was so fun!! I love the openness of the car to take in the views. The lush, dense jungle is beautiful! The trails on the other side that...More

We had a ball riding the creaky old basket over the valley and back. Pretty cloud forced area with some rather steep hikes. Nice butterflies too. I just wish they allowed you more time once there.

Enjoyed zipping across the valley as my boyfriend's not interested in zip lining. Glad we picked the 50 minute falls trek first as we'd never have done it had we done the 15 minute falls first which was all down then all up. The 50...More

This was a really pleasant hike. The waterfalls are not all that big but it was still fun. The Tarabita is pretty cool. We got really bit up by all the mosquitoes though!

We're a middle aged couple. The road to get to the tarabita is >5km & all uphill. Unless you're super fit it's worth paying $6 to get up there. Bring water +/- snacks & lunch as there's nowhere to buy anything. Also I found the...More
