I enjoyed the butterfly garden and our tour guide spoke excellent English. As far as butterfly gardens go this one was pretty standard as others that I have visited. It was certainly interesting to see the different types of butterflies around this region of Ecuador....More

The Mariposaria is a bit small, and, for budget travelers, the $7.50 entrance could be spent better elsewhere, but if you like butterflies, then it is worth it. It's a nice, flat 30 min walk from Mindo. The hummingbirds out front were probably my favorite...More

Honestly I didn’t liked Mindo a lot. I prefer Baños, because of the food and the extreme sports they offer. But, this Butterfly Garden, makes visit Mindo worth the wait. Lovely place and very nice experience. A great place if you like to take pictures.

My family and I have been through many butterfly gardens and this one was one of the very best! So many beautiful species of butterflies and just by sitting down, butterflies surrounded us. A highlight for our 11 year old daughter!

Great place to visit in Mindo. The butterflies are abundant and beautiful. It's a very interesting exhibit that takes you through the entire life of a butterfly.

Butterflies are amazing creatures, so it was cool to see them in their different stages, but it was a pretty small space and quite crowded. We aren't convinced that it was worth the 7.50pp, but if it helps the butterflies, we're okay with it.

Cute spot to check out butterflies up close. Good spot if you have children or are an adult who enjoys getting up close to nature.
