The center is small but the people are very informative. If they don't have the brochures they will give you the sites where to search for information. Very scenic that you can walk a little of the pier and take some lovely pictures also stop...More

Free information of New Bedford and the surrounding area. Lots of brochures as well as ideas of activities to enjoy while in town

Don't know why this building even exists..it is off the neaten path and there is nothing but a few pamphlets in it. Skip it and go to the National Park visitors Center a few blocks away instead..More

Hi Seth, The Visitor Center on the working waterfront is staffed with Visitor Ambassador's Memorial Day - Labor Day including National Park Rangers on weekends, additional programming, events on the Pier, video, lectures, tours and increased Visitor Services are offered during that time. Stopped by the visitors center and found everyone helpful and the experience very informative. New Bedford, seems to be a city with a very rich history.

Faitrly small center but they do have interesting info on New Bedford waterfront and particularly the fishing industry. Also show a short film on whaling.

This visitor center is much more limited in hours open and displays than the Whaling NHP. It is at Pier 3.

Very knowledgable. We found about all we needed to. Lovely ladies working there! Pamphlets of attractions! We wanted to take a ride on the harbor cruise and got all the info we needed!

This visitor center is relatively small with a very limited amount of information for the average tourist. One positive is the authenticity of the offerings on the history of the local fishing industry
