There are less crowds here which made this an amazing beach to visit if you want a quiet relaxing time.

A nice long stretch of beautiful sandy beach, and close to Keihei also. In addition, it has two parking lots (one at either end of the beach), so it's usually fairly easy to get a spot to park. Also liked the fact that the Five...More

This beach is beautiful! Not that the others aren't (EVERY beach on Maui is beautiful), but this beach has quite a bit of parking, a nice outdoor shower, a place to rental paddle boards, snorkel gear, etc. and 2 places to eat (both expensive, but...More

Keawakapu is a lovely beach in South Maui. Easy in and out of water with good snorkeling by reef on either end. Some turtles and colorful fish. One caution is there are no life guards at this beach.

Keawakapu beach goes on for over a mile in Wailea/Kihei region of Maui and is one of our long time favourite beaches. The only thing missing was a fawcet to wash the sand off your feet near Five Palms restaurant and Sarento's on the beach.

Best water to paddleboard you can see the fish swim by as you go around Black Rock. In the mornings the water is really awesome to enjoy. With Whalers Village right there you can refresh after the beach really easy.

Quiet beach, not too crowded, sandy bottoms, great for walks and swimming. Bring chairs and an umbrella, the sun is HOT!

Keawakapu Beach is a nice beach, at the far end of Kihei on the border of Wailea. Good snorkeling and reef southside in front of 5 Palms restaurant. Next door is Sarento's which are two of the three water front restaurants in Kihei. You can...More

Not sure which shave ice stand you mean, but I don't remember one within walking distance to Keawakapu. It is a bit of a walk from Kamaole 3 for instance, doable for a grownup but hard with kids or carrying beach gear... More
